Hey! Sorry it took a couple of days for the next chapter, but i'm back now! Here's chapter 4 of "This is Us" hope you all enjoy!
Chapter 4; Lynn’s POV
I kept on running, right behind Bryce. We began to reach the pack house and as soon as we did everyone burst out in a frantic mess. Both Bryce and I shifted back into humans. My bones creaked back into position and my muscles shifted too. We began to walk toward the pack when Keegan, the Beta, ran out and grabbed Bryce by the neck and pushing him up a tree behind him. This was not going to end well.
“Keegan….let…..go….” Bryce managed to get out of his mouth between breaths.
Keegan left Bryce down and he fell to the ground, coughing till be could breathe normal again. Keegan then turned to me with an angered look on his face. “The Alpha wants to see you, Lynn.” He turned away to go to the pack house motioning me to follow him.
I have never met the Alpha before and I have probably been in the pack for about a month now. Usually, everyone meets the Alpha during their ceremony to be in the pack. Casey met him, but I don’t know why I haven’t.
I followed Keegan all the way into the pack house and up to the top floor of the pack house. Man, I have never been this far into the house. I only stayed on the main floor, basement, and the floor with my room on it. We reached a large metal door. Keegan entered in a passcode and the doors moved apart revealing a large room. The chair by the desk was turned around not being able to see who was behind it.
Keegan whispered in my ear, “Good luck, short stuff.” He winked at me and turned around and fled down the stairs.
I took a deep breath and entered the room. The doors behind me until I was alone with the Alpha.
“Um, you wanted to see me….Alpha..” I said nervously. My hands began shaking as I saw a hand motion toward me a chair in front of his desk.
The chair spins around and the wind is knocked out of me.
"Mate.” My wolf inside me screamed as I saw his beautiful face look at me.
