Our conversation ended with the both of us knowing more about each other and treats from our bodies to fall asleep on the spot. Turns out he wans't lying about the whole "I'm famous" bit. I eventually muster enough energy to get changed into sleep wear.
" Shit" I mutter under my breath
"what?'' Toby asks from his position on the couch
"Oh, I just don't have pajamas, but it's fine" I say as I go to sit back down
"OH, I got this" he says as almost as he had just drank 100 gallons of coffee. He runs down a hallway and comes back almost as quickly as he left but this time with a wad of fabric in his hand.
"Here" he says as he throws me the green fabric. I hold it up to realize that it is a t-shirt that was much larger than my frame, that had the word "TOBUSCUS" inscribed in stony lettering"
" Thanks, but you don't" i'm immediately cut off by Toby saying
"But I want to, it's the least I could do."
"Your letting me stay at your house for god's sake" As I finish my sentence I hear the faint sound of nails on the hardwood floor. The sound grows closer and closer ans a small white and brown Shih-zu rounds the corner and runs up and jumps on my lap licking every part of my face he can reach
"Whoa there Gryphon!" Toby says as he grabs the dog swiftly into his arm " Sorry 'bout that, I hope you don't mind" he says as he sets the dog down and rubs the back of his neck with his hand.
" It's fine" I say casually " I'm gonna change, wheres the bathroom?"
Toby walks down the hall and I follow " Here," he says walking into a large bedroom " You'll sleep in here and the bathroom is over there he points to the door across the room. This is obviously his bedroom as his stuff is all over, not messy but not OCD clean either. Homey.
"Oh Toby, you don't have to do" I say without being able to finish as he says again
" But I want to" and with that he is out the door and down the hall to who knows where.
God he is nice.
