The silence continues for at least ten minutes. We all just look at eachother as if one of us will come up with an amazing plan to save us. Damon's accusation hangs in the air.
We had moved to a History classes where the antique sword must have came from. Three swords were missing and a mace.
"What about our parents? They'll be here in an hour" Barry spoke up.
Nora shook her head "My dad's out of the country and Mum's visiting Cheryl"
Cheryl is Nora's twin sister who got sent to rehab last year and no one had heard from her since.
"My brothers coming to pick me up" Steph says grinning "We just have to stay alive for the next hour"
"We wouldn't have to if this school had decent phone signal" Barry mutters as he tosses his phone onto the table.
Our school was in the middle of nowhere and was a ten minute drive from the main part of town. It's surrounded by fields that we use for sports days and sometimes PE.
"I suggest we wait for him by the front door" Nora says "We can see from every direction so no one can attack us"
Raine shrugs "What are we doing here then?"

It's eerily silent as we walk down the corridors. What's even more terrifying however is the fact that Damon, Raine and Steph all carry antique swords in their hands.
We're just about to reach the chairs when Barry stops and sniffs the air like a dog. "We should turn back" He says.
I frown "Why?"
He goes suddenly pale. "I can smell blood"
My stomach turns and I freeze. "But there's no one else here" Steph says and walks forward but I don't fail to notice when she adjusts her grip on the sword.
"You're all babies" Damon growls as he notices that no one else has followed her. He goes to go after her but stops when he hears her scream and then a thud.
"Steph!" Arla shouts and runs around the corner.
"Arla!" Damon shouts and follows her.
I start to walk slowly around the corner and fight the urge to close my eyes.
In the middle of the hall, Steph lay passed out with Arla crouched over her. Damon was staring however at the man hanging from the lights with a rope around his neck and a note on his chest.
As if in a trance, I continue forward until I'm about a foot away from the body and can recognise it as the town dentist. "Is that..."
"Nora's dad" Damon finishes my sentence. "The note on his chest. Read it"
I look at the sheet of paper. It is nailed into his chest by a rusty nail. It's staining red and the black lettering is difficult to see but I'm just able to make it out.
How's Cheryl?
Two words. That was it. There was a shrill scream and I turn just in time to see Nora drop to the ground. I let my eyes close as I tried to push down the emotions building up inside.
