"Do you really expect me to believe that?" Said Sergeant Hansen.
I was in an interrogation room, sitting across from Sergeant Hansen. He was a rather large, intimidating man, yet, I felt no intimidation. There was another man standing in the corner, arms crossed
. He introduced himself as Detective Smithson and simply asked me what happened."Well?" Sergeant Hansen persisted.
"That's what happened. I didn't kill that man!" I shouted. "Not that I remember anyway."
"Listen," He continued, "I've tried to be nice -."
"No. You really haven't." I cut him off.
"Then how do you explain that dead man. The man you stabbed to death, laying at your feet while you're holding a bloody knife in your hand, hmm?"
"It wasn't me!" I began to raise my voice.
"Ok!" Said Detective Smithson "Just, calm down and tell me what happened after you entered this... forest."
"Ok, well, I remember looking at the knife in my hand and being really confused. Then, I saw the body and was about to throw up, until I saw the police lights and heard the sirens. How'd you know I was there anyway?"
"Anonymous tip." Said Detective Smithson. "Female."
"That's impossible." I mumbled, realizing that must have sounded suspicious to the two of them.
"And why's that?" Asked Sergeant Hansen.
"Because there was nobody around. No houses, no nothing. I'd called for help multiple times. No sign of anyone."
Detective Smithson cocked his head and gave me a look that, oddly, made me feel at ease. He now stood, leading on the table, staring at me with confusion.
A knock soon came at the door and the two exited. I sat alone for about 10-15 minutes, then Detective Smithson opened the door and said "We're done for tonight. I'll take you to your holding cell."
I stood up and followed him down the hall. Nobody was there. They had all managed to leave in a fairly short amount of time.
"Everyone in this unit went home. I'm on night shift so," he paused "it's just me and you."
He gently took my hands and unlocked my handcuffs. He closed the cell door and sat in his desk chair. "I believe you." He stated casually.
"What?" I said, shocked. "Really? Why? I mean, nobody else does. Why do you?"
"I honestly don't know." He said with a smile. "Something about you makes it hard to believe that you're lying.
I returned his smile as I sat down. "So," he stands up, sorting through a ring of keys "I'm gonna let you out, if, you agree to help me find who killed that man."
"I don't understand. You're gonna let me go? Just like that?"
"Yup," he says, almost joyfully "let's go get your stuff."

Hi guys! I hope you liked the first chapter. The first real chapter anyway. If you don't didn't notice, the prologue was actually Rare telling Sergeant Hansen and Detective Smithson what happened. And, obviously, Hansen doesn't believe her. Here's what the characters look like:
Rare
Detective James Smithson (Yes, that is Sebastian Stan. I love my Sebby)
Sergeant Chris Hansen (Yes, that is Eddie Redmayne. I love my Eddie)
I will be adding more characters as they come along.
