~Mackenzie's POV~
I shoved my head onto my arms. I sobbed quietly into my arms. I felt someone tap my shoulder. I didn't looked up I just continued to cry. "Are you alright, Mackenzie?" I heard a girl voice ask.
I look up and see Ms. Jennings. I sniffled a little. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said, wiping my tears away. She walked over to Robbie and he handed her the note. She looked at the word and nodded her head.
"Trust me this has happened to me before. It'll blow over by the end of the week." Ms. Jennings said. I looked at her and shook my head.
"This is different. He was one of my best friends. It'll never be the same anymore." I replied, glancing at Robbie and then back at Ms. Jennings. I shoved my face back into my arms.
"Robbie, you and Mackenzie can leave now. Take her back to her dorm without hurting yourself. You should have your brace on." Ms. Jennings said. I didn't move. Robbie shook me until I looked up at him. He knelt down and looked at me.
"Mackenzie, listen to me. Everything will blow over like Ms. Jennings said. Don't worry-"
"You don't understand Robbie! You just don't!" I shouted. I ran out of the room and through the halls. I bumped into some people but right now I don't care. I finally got to my dorm. I turned the door knob and it was locked. I struggled to get my keys out of my pocket. I got them out and I tried to find the right key.
I looked behind me and saw that Robbie was about to get to my dorm. I crammed the key into the key hole and turned it. I got inside before Robbie could stop me. I shut the door as he approached it. I slammed my back against the door and slid down until I was on the ground.
"Open up." Robbie said from the other side of the door. I felt a hot tear trickle down my cheek. "Please." He said.
"Robbie, I just need to be alone. A friend should respect that." I said as more tears fell from my eyes.
"I do respect your privacy. I just want to help." He pointed out. I stood up to my feet and turned the door knob slowly. I peered outside the door and looked at Robbie. He looked up and slightly smiled at me.
"Can I come in?" He asked, politely. I nodded my head slowly and opened the door so he could get in. He walked in and turned around to face me. I shut the door and walked past him. I flopped on my bed and shoved my face into my pillow. I felt a change of weight on my bed. I turned my head and saw Robbie sat down next to my body.
"Honestly, this has never happened to me. I have no idea how you feel but I can still get you through this." Robbie explained, looking over at me. I looked into his forest green eyes, that I have loved ever since I saw them.
"Ok, I'll let you try. Oh and I'm sorry for screaming at you." I said, sitting up. He slightly smiled. "Thank you for helping me." I said, looking back into his eyes.
"What are friends for?" He asked as a big smile appeared on his face. I smiled back at him. I can't believe how he can be mean one day and then be nice the next. It's like he is a totally different person. It's amazing how people can change. Right?
