Adrian's POV
After I made sure that Alice and Luke cleaned up the mess they made, everyone decided that making breakfast was no longer an option. We all went out for breakfast instead. We all piled in the car and headed to the restaurant.
When we arrived at our five star restaurant for breakfast, Alice was pretty upset.
"How in the world is MCDONALDS a five star restaurant?" She said angrily as she shoved over the door.
I snorted, "Did you honestly think that we would really take you to a five star restaurant for breakfast?"
She flipped her brown hair over her shoulder as she sauntered up to the counter to order. Alice Marcus and I ordered pancakes, while Luke ordered an Egg McMuffin.
As we were waiting for our meal, Alice and Luke were talking about the newest season of Sherlock. (Don't worry I won't spoil anything, I'm a considerate author. Thank me later🤗)
"I know! Can you believe they did that?" Alice said rather loudly as she flung her hands above her head.
Luke just sighed and shook his head, "I was so mad!"
Before their conversation could get any more animated our order was ready. We all grabbed our food and found a booth in the corner.
"I call sitting by Adrian!" Alice sang.
"Oooh," Marcus wrinkled his nose, "Sorry about that but I'm the one who'll be sitting by Adrian."
"Who says?" Alice retorted with her hands on her hips.
I raised my hand, "I do."
Alice gasped then said, "Fine, I'd rather sit by Luke anyway." She sat down in the booth and started eating her pancakes. Marcus and I did the same, and Luke was already halfway done with his meal.
"Dang Luke, you were really hungry." Alice said when she noticed how fast he was eating.
"eerrrmm allwaashhh huurrnnngggyy." He mumbled with a mouth full of food.
"Erm, what?" Alice chuckled.
"I'm always hungry," Luke corrected once he had swallowed.
Marcus rolled his eyes, "It's true. No matter how much he eats he just keeps eating."
I laughed, "Alice is the same way...She's like a bottomless pit."
Alice scoffed, "Rude."
I rolled my eyes and went back to eating my pancakes. I wasn't really paying that much attention to their conversation. When I had finished my pancakes, I found myself staring at Marcus. From the angle I was at, his jawline was razor sharp. His features were defined and the beard that he was working on made him look even older than he actually was.
He always looks so damn good! I thought. How the hell...
Suddenly he turned to look at me, and he looked surprised.
SHIT! Did I say that out loud? I thought.
"How the hell what?" He asked as he smirked the smirk that made me want to kiss him, he raised an eyebrow. "Were you going to finish that sentence?"
I sighed in relief, glad that I didn't say the first part of that thought. I then shook my head and turned away from him. Knowing fully well that my cheeks were extremely red.
I heard him chuckle next to me and then his arm was around my waist. He slid me closer to him on the hard plastic booth. My face was getting redder by the second, and I really didn't want to look at Alice and Luke, but I did anyway.
"Dude, why is your face so red!" Luke asked with a laugh.
I kept silent and looked at Alice. She was wiggling her eyebrows, telling me that she knew exactly what Marcus was doing. I glared at her, giving her the 'ho don't do it' stare. She just rolled her eyes but nodded. I relaxed and looked back to Luke, who was having his own stare down with Marcus. It seemed to be intense.
Alice cleared her throat, "If you two are done having a debate with your eyes, can we go? I wanna go to the mall or something."
Luke stopped staring at Marcus and responded to Alice, but not before he sent a knowing smirk my way, "Yeah I'm done, do y'all wanna go to the mall?" He asked in a god-awful country accent.
Alice stood up and headed towards the door, "Don't you have to be stupid somewhere else," she monotoned to Luke.
He pretended to look at his non-existent watch, "Not until four!" He skipped along side Alice and pulled her to the car.
"They get along so well." Marcus said as we followed them to the car.
"They're almost the same person." I agreed.
We watched as they fought over where we were going and what we were going to do, they weren't paying any attention to Marcus and I. Apparently Marcus decided to take advantage of that fact as he pulled me close to his side and placed a kiss to my temples. He dragged me to the car and got in the drivers seat, letting me sit in the passengers. The whole way to the mall I was lost in my thoughts.
What the HELL is this boy doing to me...he's going to end up giving me a heart attack.
