Prologue

        "Run Ellie, baby you can't look back no matter what. Protect the necklace, never take it off!" Little Ellie didn't understand why her momma was sending her away. She wanted to stay and help protect her but like a good girl she did as she was told. "Okay momma. I understand." So she ran, ran like never before and did not look back.

          Those were part of the last words Ellie heard her mom say. The last memory she had of her mom was a traumatic event for her. Seared into her brain for years to come. The only thing keeping her from breaking down was the hope that her mom, somehow got away and is safe, in hiding.

          She learned years later that she had a special gift, along with her friends. She learned what she could for a girl without her mother there to teach her. But after all these years she still has no idea what the necklace she swore to never take off can do.
