Chapter 9

Anthony's POV:

"That was so cool!" I jumped up and down as a kid as I dragged Dominic along behind me as we exited the 360 degree roller coaster ride. It was awesome!

"My, are you okay?" I stared back at him when he remained silent. He looks kind of pale...is he sick?

"Are you okay? Do you need to see a doctor?" I peered down worriedly at him, afraid that he would fall flat any minute.

"I'm fine. Maybe it was the food. Don't worry, it's definitely not the ride...I need the toilet." With that, he took off to the toilet without a second to waste. Oh dear...I hope he didn't get food poisoning from the food just now. 

As I was waiting for him to come out, a young couple walked past happily, walking hand in hand while sharing a corn-dog. They look so cute together. Sigh...I really envy them...if only I have someone to walk hand in hand with. But who am I kidding, no one like me.  

"Hey kitten, do you want to get one of those?" I turned around to see Dominic rushing towards me as he pointed to a store. Not knowing what they are really selling, I just nodded my head, not wanting to hurt his feelings. Grinning widely, he bounced off eagerly without another word.

Kitten...It sounds like a nickname which you will give a lover.  Oh well, I've gotten used to him calling me kitten since...2 weeks ago? Wow...2 weeks only and I feel as though I've known him since diapers. I even took a month to get used to Josh. Gosh. Since when do I make friends so easily despite being so awkward around strangers?

Just before I can go searching for Dom, he came running back with two candy floss in his hand. Are those really candy floss? I've never tried it before. I wonder how it tastes like.

"Here you go. I'm giving my heart to you so don't break it." Dominic warned jokingly as he handed me a heart shape candy floss while he took a star shap one. He's so cheesy, he's making my heart melt. I think I'm starting to like him...not as a friend but something more. Is it wrong? I don't even know if he's straight, gay or bi.

"Thanks." Taking it from him embarrassingly, he chuckled deeply before ruffling my hair. His hand is so warm and big, it's comforting. He's like a big teddy bear which I want to just cuddle with in bed. So warm and comfy.

"So where do you want to go next?" I pondered for a moment before pointing to the large ferris wheel.

"I want to see the night scenery from the top of the ferris wheel. Can I?" He looked fearfully over to it before gulping visibly.

"S-Sure! Let's go then. You really love being at the top huh."

"Yup. I like the feeling of being free like a bird. Sometimes I wonder what it will be like to jump down from those high places. I bet it's fun."

"Yeah...I bet. But one thing for sure, if you ever jumped without any protection from such a monstrous height, you'll most probably fly...as an angel." He chortled in both amusement and what seemed like nervousness. I guess it does sound silly. Its impossible to jump and not die... No one in the right mind will even want to jump from such a height like what Dom said. Maybe I'm just weird...

"Hey, let's go." Dragging me along with him, he brought me to the express queue lane while everyone else just stares with envy. Sorry guys. I don't mean to cut queue.

"Watch your heads lovebirds." The operator says as he winked playfully at us causing me to flush bright red and for Dom to laugh heartily.

"So...lovebirds huh." Dom teased as we sat opposite each other.

"I think we do look like a great couple." He thought seriously with much focus, making me shuffle in my seat.

"I see...oh my goodness! Look Dom! It's so pretty up here...so beautiful..." I stared at the beautiful scenery in front of me, letting my eyes feast on the view. I love sunsets the most...the warm shade of orange, red and yellow is just so mesmerising. 

"Not as beautiful as you." Rolling my eyes, I nudged him playfully despite not knowing when he even decided to sit beside me.

"I'm serious!" He exclaimed out loud and held his hands in mocked surrender.
