The same thought always rushes through my mind as i wait for my coffee to go.
Why am i always late!
I really don't understand why I always ask myself that, its been 12 years and still here I am. Late for dance practice.
As i caught my breathe and had fully come to reality with my surroundings, I turn around to were I see a man standing, he couldn't possibly be that much older..I look back at him to further examine his looks..oh shit wait. I just pushed in front of a hunk. I felt a sudden burning in my cheeks. What must he be thinking of me. Whipping my hands up to my forehead, I wipe away the sweat I had collected from running here.
I should really be apologosing but all i could do was stare and examine his face.
Hazel eyes, bushy brown eyebrows. His lips the perfect plumpy shape with a little beauty mark placed in the corner on the left side of his lip.
I continued staring until i realised that he was also staring. Probably not for the same reason but wondering why i was staring and more importantly how high i thought of myself to be pushing in the line.
"Oh my god i am so sorry, i'm in such a rush I didn't even realise you were waiting, I have a dance practice soon and I'm getting really late and my teacher is just a bitch so she would end up calling my dad, but I know my dad is busy so I'd rather she just not, you know? like last week I was 3 minutes late and she made me train an hour more! like totally unfair right?!" He was looking at me with a slight grin on his face.
I knew then I think I said too much.
"You sure do talk a lot you know that?"
"Yeah sorry, I babble a lot when I'm nervous"
"Oh don't worry I get that a lot from girls"
"Oh hunny, you think I'm nervous because of you? oh no you got the wrong end of the stick, I have a dance recital any time soon" I said pointing at my brand new light blue tutu. "Next time maybe inflate your ego before talking to a girl, then when you get reassurance you can blow it back up again" I couldn't hold in my smirk.
"You couldn't just tell a little white lie? I'm sure its the least you can do.. I mean" he looked down at his Rolex. Probably fake. "You're making me late"
"Oh yeah, what's so urgent for you? and I am so sorry your highness, but I don't lie, but what I can do is offer to buy your drink"
"Nothing to stress your pretty little donut over, and I think ill take you up on that offer" I turned around and ordered a black coffee, 2 sugars.
"You didn't even ask what I wanted, how does that work?" he furrowed his eyebrows, I couldn't tell if he was actually serious or just messing.
But bothered?
"It's only fair I choose, since I'm paying. Plus you look like a coffee kinda guy" My eyes wandered around his body before matching up with his, again i was lost in them. I didn't know what it was but I didn't want to look away. He was covered with a long sleeved bomber jacket and black jeans so I couldn't really see what he was hiding under there. I imagined a sleeve tattoo, he had the bad boy look, tattoos would just make him look even more arousing.
We lost eye contact when the barrister, the handsome Adam, had returned with our drinks.
"Here you go Darlin, see you tomorrow, same time?"
I giggled knowing he was most likely going to be right. "Most likely, thanks"
I grabbed the drinks, paying him the cash. I turned to face the man to hand him his drink and just as he was about to say something I heard loud continuous beeps coming from my car parked outside. It didn't catch just my attention but the whole coffee shops.
The one person worse than my teacher when it comes to me being late is my driver. He had the worst patience, considering his proffesion is to wait on people. But he has been with us too long to leave us now.
"Try not to burn your tongue, and try not to burst that pretty little head of yours next time you talk to a woman" and with that I left him before he could utter a word, but I'm sure I saw him chuckle as I was leaving.
I noticed him staring as I left so I was just praying my butt looked cute as I swayed my hips. Maybe he was just staring at the car. It was my 17th birthday gift. My baby, A matte black Audi R8, I was only aloud to drive when I wasn't in a rush. Daddy's orders.
I waved bye as our eyes met. But our moment was interrupted yet again by the stupid driver and his stupid beeps and the stupid lesson he has to take me too.
Ugh.
Thank you for taking the time and reading the first chapter, I know some of you who have read this in a past may be feeling a bit of deja-vu and no you're not crazy! but I have done some editing, or should I say very minimal editing to it.
Make sure to check out my other story!
Hugs and kisses,
