We were waiting on the couch in dead silence for what seemed like hours, when finally, my phone buzzed. It was from Louis. I hesitated to open the text, but when I did, it said "help us ASAP. We really, really need you Autumn!" I read it to Ms. Tomlinson and she looked up at me and gulped. I dialled 9-1-1 and told the operator the whole story. I really don't think he believed me, but after the longest few seconds of my life he asked "How old are you?"I told himI was 17 and my sister was 16. then he asked "Can I talk to your legal guardian?"I didn't have a legal guardian because my parents died in 9/11 and Shelby andI lived alone. I gave the phone toMs. Tomlinson. "Hello? How canI help you?"she asked. "Do you know about the boys from One Direction missing?" he asked in what sounded like a sarcastic tone. She sighed and said "Yes, i do." "ok I'll talk to our Sargent and well get on this case in the morning." Hesounded like he was still unsure. "Ok thank you so much!" "uh, Ms. Tomlinson? Can we go get Shelby?I don't think she knows I'm gone." I asked. "Sure sweetie, and call me mum."I looked at her confused and said "ok thanks mum." we wentto the garage and drove back to my house. I opened the garage door and walked into the house. Shelby came running towards me with a baseball bat with a frightened look on her face.I yelled "SHELBY ITS JUST MEEEE!!!!!!!!" and she put the bat down. "Where were you?" she asked "It doesn't matter get in the car." Mum, (Ms. Tolminson,) Shelby, andI drove back to the house. When we got inside her couch was flipped over, thetable wason the ground, things were broken, and the dog was tied to the bathroom door. We called the police and told the operator the story about what has been going on the past few months. "Have you searched the whole apartment?" she asked. "no" Ms.Tomlinson said. thenI stopped paying attention and untied the dog.I suddenly heard Ms. Tomlinson,I mean mum, yelled "YOU REALLY THINK THEY COULD STILL BE IN THE HOUSE?" thenI heard a huge thud behind me.I screamed really loud and realizedI haven't heard anything from Shelby. I started yelling her name, and thankfully she said I'm hiding, soI knew she was okay. my phone buzzed andI looked at it. It was from Louis, and it said "watch out!" I replyed "I know. Ur moms on the phone with a 9-1-1 operator. help is on the way. We will try to find you guys tomorrow."
