this is it, after 13 years of school, im finally here about to take my first steps into my life, my future... NYSU is like everything you could imagine and more, people walking around with caps and tee's, I feel over dressed in my acid wash skinny jeans with rips, my teenage runway crew neck jumper and my hot pink doc martens.... people keep staring but I couldn't care less, my mum is wiping the tears from her eyes, as my dad pulls me in for a tight teddy bear hug, like the ones he used to give me, when I was three. "don't cry mama, its only collage I can come back and visit any time and I will call, I promise." she just nodded, "you be safe baby girl, don't take drugs, safe sex, all the basics," I cringed as my Dad was explaining the basic rules of life to me, for the fifteenth time, "I know dad, now can I go? I would like to get settled in, before Christmas," Dad laughed, and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek, "see you later baby bear," he smiled back at me then headed for the car, "I love you sweat pea, have fun, call me every night," I rolled my eyes as my mom was being, well mom, 'I will just go, I love you," she gave me a quick hug for the last time and left, this is it, breath it all in aubree, this is your life now.....
