Chapter 2 Furr-st day on the job

The day after*

Wow! I still can't believe it's a gay bar. Out of all the places it could be... it's a gay bar and a pizzaria. I need to stop worrying about it and focus. I walk towards my closet and grab my new company uniform and put it on. First day on the job, how hard could it be... right? I look at the clock just to notice it's 2:45. Oh shit I'm going to be late if I don't leave now! I quickly run into the bathroom and grab my toothbrush and toothpaste then bolt out the door. Got to hurry! Wait! I didn't lock the door, let's go do that really quick. As I am driving toward work I see Fawkes walking towards the pizzaria. Hey, Fawkes! I shout.

 "Oh hey there! I never got your name."

 Sorry, my name is Mike. Mike Schmidt.

 "I like it!"

 Hey are you heading up to the pizzaria? I ask.

 "Yeah why?"

 I'll give you a ride if you want.

 "Are you sure, I hope I'm not going to be a bother."

 Your fine. Hop in!

 As we are continuing towards the pizzaria, he explains how he would prefer if I was to call him Foxy instead of Fawkes. He also explains that Bernard or as he calls him because of pronunciation problems Bonnie would have picked him up but his car is having some trouble at the moment. When we get to the pizzaria we exit my truck and walk inside. I check my watch to see it says 2:56 PM. Good, I'm not late. Hey Foxy I'll catch up to you later. I clock in then go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After I leave the bathroom I accidentally bump into a gold version of Bonnie. So I look at him and he says "Nothing to see here so be on your way."

 Rude. I mutter under my breath.

 "Don't mind him he is just not much for kids" Freddy explains as he walks up to me. "Well, you ready Mike your working both sides today. All you have to do since it is your first day is just keep the kids in check and have fun then, tonight make sure the adults are having a good time. All tips you are given are yours."

 Thanks for the instructions. I'll try my hardest. 

"That's what I want to hear!"
