Nights in Montego Bay

Dinner was over and it was time to party. "Hey Nicole , I was wondering if you wanted to take a walk on the beach I mean if you want." Jake said with some uneasiness in his voice. "Oh, um sure" I said. That's weird I'd think he would want to party with the families. Jake and I slid past our parents who were slowly losing their soberness and slid past the kids who would follow and annoy don't forget to include destroy any relaxing  moment we would have on this beach. We found a nice spot on the sand by the shore and we just sat down. It was so peaceful. Only sounds of nature filled up the silence. And for once I felt relaxed and stress free and I didn't feel like I had alot to think about. After a while Jake and I started having conversations. They started off with fandoms and things we like. But hours past by and we would talk about more personal things. "So, Nicole , are you dating anyone?" Jake asked me with a chuckle. I laughed and then I just remembered what I was trying to get away from and my smile slowly went away. Jake looked at me puzzled. "Is everything alright, if you don't want to answer it's alright." He said with concern. "No, no dont worry about it, its just...." I paused , "Complicated, it's complicated." "You can tell me anything you know I'm here if you need anything" Jake said with sincereness. I trust Jake. He gets me when other people don't. I guess it's time for me to talk about what happened now. " Well, I had a boyfriend, Zelimir. He was sweet and athletic and fun. Everyone would always tell us that we were meant for each other and that we would last a long time. And for a middle school relationship it did we had been dating for almost 2 years. It was a love so deep I've never felt it before. And recently we started to fight and argue and he would start acting like a jerk to me and we were fed up and so we broke up. It was mutual but I just miss him so much." I explained. Jake had a crown on his face. He came closer and gave me a hug . "It happens , but just remember that it's not the end. Jake whispered to me. I nodded as a tear slowly trickled down my cheek. Jake wiped it away. And we both smiled. It feels good having someone to talk to and to be  in such an amazing place to think. Jake and I kept talking and having fun. We even had little silly fights because he would steal my phone and text ash and he would prank me and by the end of it I would tackle him and we would collapse head to head laughing .By the end of the night I would get sleepy and fall asleep so quick like I've never slept before . I have some sort of insomnia or something I just can't sleep. I fell asleep on the beach with Jake staring at me without making a single sound as if my sleep was oh so magical. I woke  up hours later resting on Jake's shoulder. I was  struck with confusion and embarrassment. I  quickly shook my head and my eyes widened. "I'm so sorry " I apologized to Jake . "Don't worry about it , your so cute in your sleep" Jake replied. We both blushed. "Go back to sleep" he said calmly. So I did. By the end of the night he carried me back to my hotel room and tucked me in. "Goodnight nicole, sweet dreams. " He whispered as I slept.
