HAYLEE'S P.O.V
Hi I'm Haylee, also known as leelee I'm 16 I live with my mom and my dad which is actually my step dad but grown up with him being my only father figure because my mom was only 15 when she got pregnant with me and my actual father wasn't ready to settle down so that's when Jason my step dad came into my life when I was 2. My mom and dad have done everything they can do to make sure I have a great life, they are great parents. I am a honor roll student people like to call me a nerd or goody two shoes, I just like doing good and making my family proud. I have my best friend Maddie i've known her since I was 4 we do everything together but me and her are totally different but she's always been the person I know I can talk too and that will never change. So that's my life.
"HAYLEEE WAKE UP YOUR GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL" My mom yells snapping me out of my day dreaming
"Okay I'm up" I yell and jump up and go to my closet and pick out jeans, a black V neck and a flannel. I run into my bathroom and brush my hair then teeth and put a little bit of mascasra and eyeliner on not too much but just enough. I grab my phone and run down stairs and grab an apple when my phone dings.
*Maddie: hurry I'm outside*
*Me: here I come.*
I have my own car but on Mondays and Fridays Maddie picks me up and after school we go get ice cream or go to the mall.
"Hey hoe" I say to Maddie as I get in the car
"sup slut" she says smiling. Maddie and I always play around and call each other names but we both know were joking.
"Oh my gosh you will never guess who texted me last night" Maddie nearly yells over the music so I turn it down
"Let me guess... Max ?" Max is a jock that Maddie has always had the biggest crush on but he's really stuck up and only uses girls for sex so I don't like him because I don't want my bestfriend to get hurt.
"Yeah he asked me if I wanted to go to a party Friday, I can bring anyone I want so your coming"
"ohhhhhh no I'm not you know I don't do parties"
"pleaseeeeee I really don't wanna go by myself"
"go with max"
"I'm not going with him he just invited me"
"Nope I'm not going"
"please your the only person I wanna go with,"
"ugh I don't know ill have to ask mom see what she says" I just agree because I don't feel like going on and on about this. a few minutes later we get to school and me and Maddie head to our classes which are separate ways I'm in honor classes.
I was sitting in 3rd period when I was called down to the office, I'm actually really scared because ive never been called down to the office before. was I in trouble?
"Ms. Webb have a seat" The principle said, she looked really upset. I just sat down and stayed quiet. "I'm really sorry but your mom and dad have been in a really bad car crash." I didn't say anything I felt so numb I had no clue what to think I didn't believe it.
"Are they alive?" I say trying to fight back the tears.
"Your dad didn't make it but your mom is at the hostpital I can take you there now if you want." I feel my entire life falling apart all I could do is nod my head I didn't have the strength to say anything. we head to the hostpital and I run in and try to find someone I walk up to the front desk
"hi I need to know what room my mom is in." I say as calmly as possible
"last name?"
"Webb"
"Shes in room 465A" I don't listen to anything else I just run to find the room. my heart is beating like crazy I'm so scared. when I get to the room I freeze. I then open the door to see my mom lying on a bed, she looks so lifeless I walk up to her bed then the doctor comes in.
"Hello, I'm very sorry to say this but your mothers chance of living is very small we are doing everything we can." I just look away as I feel the tears running down my face, I hate hate hate crying in front of people.
"Mom, I love you so much. I need you please fight through this please I love you I'm so sorry for all the times ive argued with you please just stay I need you I don't know what ill do with out you, I cant lose my mom and my dad please mom please I love you so much." I say holding her hand crying. next thing I know theres a lot of beeping noises and nurses start rushing in and trying to make me leave I fight and yell "NO PLEASE STOPPP MOM PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME I NEED YOU I LOVE YOU" the nurses wouldn't stop pushing me out they shut the door once they got me out and I couldn't get it back open I lay down on the floor in a ball crying my entire world has fallen I don't know what to do next thing I know I'm in a deep sleep
***Few hours later***
"Ms.webb wake up" the doctor says shaking my arm" I wake up hoping it was all just a dream
"Wheres my mom?"
"I'm sorry we did everything we could but she didn't make it. I'm so so sorry" the doctor says I just fall back into a ball on the floor and cry till I cant cry anymore I feel so lost I don't know what to do.
