There was once a girl named Sofia. She was 10 years old and still had a favorite blanket. It was purple and it had blue and a pink flower on it. It was special to her because it was the last blanket her grandma made it before she had died.

Sofia lived in a big farm. In the farm there were pigs, cows, horses, and a newfound dog. Her neighbors had a boy that was her age named Juan. Juan and Sofia would play with the dog most of the time.

“I wonder whose dog is this.”Sofia said wondering why the dog here.

“Yeah, he is so cute I don’t know how someone could lose him.” Juan said while petting the dog.

“Let’s name him Gordo, you know, because he is fat and soft.” Sofia suggested.

“Yeah, good name. Who is such a good boy?” Juan asked the dog, knowing Gordo wouldn’t answer. After playing outside with the dog they had lunch and were ready to play another round. But Sofia went home to freshen up.When she got to her broom she noticed that something wasn't right. She looked at her bed and saw that her blanket the one her grandma made was missing from its spot. Walking down the stairs to the kitchen she saw her mom cleaning up.

"Mama! Mami! Have you seen the blanket abuela made for me? "Sofia asked anxiously waiting for an answer.

"Oh! Yes, I washed it and now its drying outside" Sofia's mom replied. Sofia visibly relaxed. Going outside she went to the drying line. Not seeing it she keep looking finally she only had a thought.

It was missing!
