"Hel?" Luk poked his head in the door. Hel replied with a muffled humph. He smiled and went in, closing the door behind him. "Love?"

She lay facedown on the bed and refused to face him. He laid down next to her and rubbed her back. "Sweetheart, look at me." She shook her head and he resorted to kissing down her back.

She wriggled beneath him. "Stop it, I'm mad at you." He kissed his way up her neck and stopped to smile against her cheek.

"Are you?"

"Yes. I'm trying to be mad at you."

"You're not doing a very good job at it." He muttered. She pushed him away and turned her back to him. He curled his body around her and lightly ran his hands down her sides. She struggled, giggling into the sheets. He chuckled and pushed her on her back, tickling her.

"Stop! No, I'm still mad!"

He laughed and let her rest. Wrapping his arms around her, he set his chin on her chest. "Why are you angry?"

"You argued with me in the meeting hall. We agreed not to argue in front of everyone."

"Mmm... We did. I'm sorry. I should have let you talk." He dipped his chin, his eyes closing as she ran her hands through his hair. "Can you bring yourself to forgive me?"

"I suppose."

He leaned up to hover over her, arms braced on either side of her. He smiled. "You can?"

"Mhm. If I stayed mad you'd be a nervous wreck trying to make it better."

He chuckled and kissed her. "True." His eyes fell closed as she brushed the bone of her hand across his cheek. His breath grew heavy and when his eyes opened she saw his pupils had dilated. She smiled quizzically at him.

"Don't take offense to this but only a very demented and sick man would be aroused by the fact that I am made of bone."

He smirked. "Darling, we're all made of bone."

"Oh shut it! You know what I mean."

He chuckled and kissed her again. "Consider our fathers, love. We can't be anything but a sick and twisted couple. I love the fact that you're left side is skeletal and you love to watch me work with dead people. I worry for our children."

She laughed but he caught the sad note in her eyes. He nuzzled closer. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up."

She shook her head and pulled him closer. "It's okay." A knock at the door made them pause.

"My lord? It is nearly six." It was Amet.

Luk sighed. "Loki is expecting us soon."

"He can wait..."

Luk looked away from the door and back at her. She had been rubbing his back but he shivered as her nails lightly scratched down his shoulders. She smiled.

"My lord?"

"Thank you, Amet. We'll be a little while longer." Luk gave her his full attention as the servant left them.

"About time!" Loki leaned up from where he was laying in the sand. Hel and Luk strolled over, hand in hand. Loki studied her. "You look better." He muttered.

She smiled. "A little, yes."

He laid back down, putting his hands behind his head. She sat beside him in the sand. Luk kept standing, staring out across the water. Hel looked up to tell him to sit but stopped as he pulled his shirt off. He smirked as he caught her staring.
