Camila immediately wrapped her arms around Lauren when she saw her and Lauren nestled her head in her neck, hugging her back in the hall for a long time. "Are you okay Lo?" Camila asked worriedly, without letting her go. Lauren only shook her head into her body and Camila hugged her tighter. "Morning Lauren." Lauren reluctantly left Camila's hold and turned to look at Normani. Camila wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her into her side comfortingly while she spoke to the girl. "Hi Normani." "How are you feeling?" Lauren shrugged. "As well as to be expected." Camila answered for her. "They fixed my nose and as you can see, my lip isn't split too bad." "Still. What's happened to your Mom?" Normani asked making Lauren wince. "I appreciate your concern Normani but please, don't get yourself involved." "I'm here for you though, you know that right?" Lauren gave Normani a half smile. "I know. Thank you." Normani looked up at a clock and sighed. "I gotta get to my locker before class. I'll see you later?" Lauren nodded. "Maybe." "C'mon Laur, we should get to form." Lauren looked at Camila sorrowfully. "I really don't feel up to school today." "You wanna skip?" "Will you skip too?" "I'm not just going to leave my best friend am I? Of course I will." "I love you Camz." "I love you more." Camila kissed Lauren's cheek and they left the school. "Do you wanna go somewhere?" Lauren stared blankly ahead. "Hey. Lauren." Camila tried to capture her attention. Lauren looked over at her when she felt Camila squeeze her arm. "What?" "Where do you wanna go?" "I don't know." "We can go back to my house? My Mom and Dad are both at work and obviously Sofia is in school." "Yeah, if you don't mind. I haven't been to your place in a while." "Come on then." When Camila opened the door the house was silent, but it was still comfortable. "You want a drink or something to eat?" Lauren shook her head and sat on the couch. Camila sat next to her best friend and opened her arms to cuddle. "It'll be okay Lauren, everything will work out." Suddenly Camila's phone rang and she picked it up, mouthing a sorry to her best friend. "Hi-oh fuck, when? No I haven't seen her...Lauren's with me. I don't know Dinah just look for her!" Camila said frustratedly. "Just chill, I'll call you later." Lauren gave the girl a questioning look as she hung up. "Mani ditched too," Camila said casually. "Dinah's bugging out." Lauren nodded simply. "I'll call her." Lauren dug out her phone from her pocket and clicked on Normani's contact to call her. "Normani?" "Lauren? Why'd you call me?" "Dinah said you ditched. She's worried about you." "I left a note in her locker explaining. She must not have been to it yet." "Oh, well are you okay? Why'd you leave school?" "I need to talk to you." "I'm listening." "No, I need to talk to you in person, Lauren." "I'm at Camila's." Camila looked over at her name being said. "Tell her to come over, I need to go out and buy some food anyway, I forgot to yesterday." Lauren nodded and went back to her conversation. "Okay. Come over to Camila's and we can talk here, I'll text you the address." "Okay. See you soon."
