He walked up to me, hugged me from behind also kissing the back of my head whispering the words "I love you" into my ear.

I could feel my face turn a bright shade of red but before I could react he took my hand and we started running into the distance finally escaping from that prison and for the first time in my life feeling happiness and love...

we ran, and ran, and ran until the sun has gone down. we were left breathless and tired, we didn't know where we would stay the night. my stomach growled and my body was dripping with sweat, it also didn't help that my clothes were dirty. we reached an empty cave. we walked in and by the looks of it looked safe to stay the night.

"Hey, wait in there, I will be right back okay," Konorii said pointing inside the cave. "alright but why? where are you going?" I asked a little concerned for his safety. the last thing I want is for the person I care about the most, well actually the only person I care about in general to get hurt or even lost, but all he did was give me one of his sweet smiles that washes away all my worries, that smile that tells me 'everything will be okay'. a moment later he started to ruffle my messy and tangled brown hair. he leads me to a safe spot in the cave and told me to stay sitting in that spot. So I did, and I waited, and waited, and waited I kept waiting but he didn't come.

I sat in the same spot in the cave with my face tucked in my legs. I have been waiting around an hour and got worried and a little irritated. At last, I heard a noise come from the entrance of the cave. I lifted my head up to see Konorii holding a few dead rabbits and some fire wood. "Yasuko, I got us some food and firewood, I even found a fresh water spring not far from here," Konorii said. immediately I stood up full of anger and walked towards him giving him the scariest death glare I can muster up, but knowing him he wasn't scared. "you could have told me you were going to hunt for food! I could have helped idiot, why did you just leave me in a dark cave for an hour?" I complained. Again all he did was put a smile on and ruffle my already messy hair. then my face turned red in frustration. "Don't just smile, say something!" I commanded. as much as I love his smile I wanted an explanation. I stood there a few seconds then finally he opened his mouth to say something. "I just wanted to make sure you were safe" he explained while taking his index finger and poking me on the forehead. My face flushed red at his words. Knowing he cared so much for me made my heart skip a beat. I raised both my hands to my forehead where he poked me. "haha! seriously I bet I'm way stronger, faster, and smarter than you and also I would have killed more rabbits and collect much more wood than you" I calmed with a cheeky grin on my face, taking my index finger poking his chest while my other hand was on my hips looking straight at him as I said my claim. "oh really now?" he asked making the same cheeky grin I gave him. and before I can answer he picked me up and put me over his shoulder. "h-Hey put me down! just because you can carry me doesn't make you stronger!" I said. he didn't reply back and just started walking to an unknown place. "where are you going? put me down!" I said a little afraid of what he might do. Knowing him he WILL do something stupid. I struggled to get out of his strong grip. I heard a chuckle coming from him and after he spoke: "see I am stronger" and before I can say anything he flipped me so he was holding me in the front finally seeing where we went. I turned my head to see a spring and then I realized this was the water spring Konorii was talking about. I was taking in the beauty of my surroundings. it was dark outside so it was a little difficult to see clearly but with the stars out and the fireflies flying it was almost magical. Konorii looked at my expression and chuckled "do you like it?" he asked finally putting me down. we both sat on the edge of the lake and just relaxed. There wasn't anything in the world that could ruin this moment. I leaned my head against Konorii's shoulder as he looked down as me. "am I forgiven then?" he asked. I looked up at him and laughed a little "Is that all your worried about?" I asked a different question avoiding the first one then playfully punched his shoulder. I laughed a little at the expression he gave me there was a tint of pink on his cheeks and I have to admit he looked really adorable. A moment later I pinched his cheek a little "yea, your forgiven" I said still laughing a little. I turned to the lake again and gave out a big yawn. I looked over to see that Konorii was getting up to leave but before he left he pulled out a hand to help me up. "let's head back it's getting late" he said. I gladly excepted as we walked towards the cave.
