My snores could probably be heard from space as we sat through Mr. Lee's history class. It was the last period of the day and we all couldn't wait to get home. Me and about 10 other people were just sat watching the clock from our seats, desperately waiting for it to hit that special number and for the shrill, piercing sound of the bell to sound through the school. Mr Lee droned on and on and on and on like he was stuck on loop.

sigh

And as if Mr Lee wasn't enough, I had to sit beside just about the worst asshole on this planet. Kim Taehyung. He was one of the populars. Wait actually, he was the lead popular. The top dog. The bees knees. The school rebel. And school asshole.

SIGH

I slumped on my desk. Taehyung beside me was sleeping with his head down. Typical. He sleeps through just about every lesson we have. AND he's in just about every lesson I have (apart from french and art which are my favourites because he's not in them).

"So, why did the ancient tribes cross the border then??" Mr Lee suddenly outbursted. "Who would like to answer for me??" He scanned the class, looking for volunteers. No one put their hand up. Mr Lee scanned the classroom again.

"Alright, I'll have to pick someone out the victims jar again then," he said while picking a name out a jar labelled 'victims'.

I put my head back on the table, just wanting to go home to listen to music and watch tv. I felt myself falling asleep.

"Kara," said Mr Lee. I jerked up at the sound of my name.

"Huh?" is what came out of my mouth. The class gave a slight chuckle at my state.

"Been up late, Kara?" Asked Mr Lee. "I hope you've not been up so late that you can't answer this question"

"Uhh what?" I replied, wiping my sleepy eyes. The class chuckled again. Taehyung had awoken from his slumber and chuckled with them. My cheeks started to turn red from embarrassment.

"I asked why the ancient tribes crossed the border. Have you got an answer?" Asked Mr Lee with one eyebrow up.

"Eh no sorry sir" was my response. I sighed, glad to be out of the spotlight.

"Sorry Kara, but please could you stay behind after school because I think you might be falling behind," said Mr Lee in a concerned tone.

"B-but-," I said.

"No buts. You need to catch up on your work," Mr Lee interrupted me.

"Fine," I crossed my arms in annoyance. Ugh. I had things to do after school. I was planning on binge watching the whole of a new tv programme and now I can't.

"No ones answered my question yet," Me Lee addressed the class. He went over to the victims jar again and picked out another name.

"Taehyung what's your answer," Mr Lee called.

"Umm," went Taehyung, still slumped on his desk. "I don't know sir"

"You stay behind too then," Mr Lee said sternly. "We can't have students falling behind in classes now can we".

Me and Taehyung both shot straight up at that.
"wHAT?!" We both said at the same time. I shot a glare at him. He shot one back.

"I said that Taehyung has to stay behind as well as Kara because you both might be falling behind in class. Is that a problem?" He asked us.

"But I don't want to be stuck with her!!" Taehyung stuck a finger at me.

"Like I want to be stuck with him!" I stuck one right back in his face.

"Well I'm afraid you just have to deal with it," Mr Lee said in that tone of authority teachers seem to have. "If you don't like it, then study hard so you don't have to stay behind".

Me and Taehyung were in sync as we humphed and slouched back in our seats crossing our arms.

RINGGGGGG

The school bell. At last. But as everyone rushed out of the door like something was chasing them out, Mr Lee called "Min Kara!! Kim Taehyung!! Don't you move!!"

Ugh. No escape. I layed my head on the table and closed my eyes. I could hear Taehyung grunting beside me in annoyance. Ugh.

Mr Lee gave us both a textbook to work from while he just "popped out to tescos!" (His words). Great. Now I was stuck with Taehyung for way more time than necessary in a silent classroom.

About 10 minutes of silence passed as Taehyung and I tried to get some work done. By the time that 12 minutes had passed we were both bored out of our minds. I sighed and leaned back in my chair.

"Boring huh," mused Taehyung.

"Yeah," I mumbled back, wondering why he was talking to me.

An hour had passed when Taehyung suddenly stood up from his seat, knocking the chair back.

"Come with me," he said.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

"I said come with me. Now, are you coming or not??"

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I'm bored and you're the only company I have and we could just go because Mr Lee obviously isn't coming back. He said that he was just going to the local Tesco but he took his car, see?" He said pointing out the window at an empty parking space. I guess he has a point.

"But how will we get out? Don't they lock the doors after 4:30??" I said while pulling out my phone to check the time. "It's 4:55. The doors will be locked by now. What if we're locked in??!?" I said, panic starting to rise.

"Lets check all the doors first just to make sure. Don't worry Kara, it'll be fine," he said assuringly. I don't know why but this was strangely comforting to me and I felt the panic start to be replaced by a cool calm. But why was Taehyung being so nice?? He was normally much more of an asshole. Especially to me. It was the entire reason I hated sitting in class with him.

Taehyung led the way as we walked round the corridors checking all the doors. All were locked so far but there was one that we hadn't checked. Taehyung went up to it and tried to open it. It didn't budge. He slowly turned to me as we both realised our situation. We were locked inside the school.
