Acera isn't like any teenager you've met before. Her family is strange, her job stranger, and she is the strangest part about her life. As it turns out, Acera "Ace" is a piece in a huge puzzle where some pieces are missing. She knows little about her true self... and why she's able to learn as fast as she can. She doesn't remember what happened to her when she was a kid because her parents surpressed it. But then Ace's parents found themselves under pressure from something they never believed in, and Ace is looking for answers to her own questions. Barely 15 going on 16 graduating college with a doctorate Ace has one class left before she gets her degree, but fate plays its hand when one night an uncle Ace had never heard of until now shows up at their front door demanding Ace's mother that Ace comes with him.... FOR HER SAFETY???? What's all this about? The night after she saw the man who claimed to be her uncle things start to flood back to her. He was there... she knows this man. She knows Egon. She contemplates finding Egon, telling him that she had planned to run away from her unsupportive parents. No sooner than she has her bag packed ready to go out the window as planned does her phone ring. She hears the man from earlier say, "Ace... you have to trust me. You have to get out of there now. You have to run... it's not sa-." Then the line goes dead on her end.... the moment it goes dead it was too much. She takes a leap of faith trusting this estranged uncle of hers. Out the window, down the fire escape, scared out of her mind. She hears a scream but doesn't turn back, she keeps going. She runs to her safe place, outside the New York Public Library. That's where she meets her uncle... and his colleague. Her degree is a perfect fit for the "family" business, the Ghostbusters. Now it makes sense in her head why she wanted a parapsychology degree. She remembered him all along, and he never forgot about her.
