Frisk opened her eyes. Her body ached badly and she had a horrible headache. She sat up rubbing her head. She felt something prick her hand and looked down. She was sitting down in a patch of black roses that had a hint of a crimson color to them. "Oh...hello there my child" a soft voice said. Frisk looked up startled to see a women with long white hair and a purple dress standing in front of her. "Now don't be afraid....I won't hurt you" she said holding her hand out. Frisk grabbed the women's hand standing up. "Who...who are you?..." frisk asked looking up at the women. "I'm Toriel. I am the caretaker of the ruins. I come by here everyday to see if anyone is here" she replied. "How am I here?....I-I'm supposed to be dead...". Toriel smiled at her softly "my child. I will answer those questions soon but for now how about we go to my house. It's more safe there then standing out here in the open". Frisk nodded and followed the women through the ruins. On the way they passed by many puzzles and other people who seemed scared of Frisk. Almost terrified. Each time she went into a fight with one of them she would spare it. "My child. You have done great this far. But I'm afraid you will need to learn to do these things without me" Toriel said. Frisk looked at her confused "what do you mea-" before she could finish Toriel ran off. Frisk ran after her but after turning a corner she lost sight of Toriel. She sighed and decided to look around. 'Toriel said I will have to do things without her. So that's what I'm going to do! Nothing dangerous is out here. Just puzzles and few monster I could encounter but all I would need to do is use mercy and spare them' she thought to herself. While she was thinking she didn't pay attention to where she was going and fell down a hole that was covered in red petals. She groaned and sat up. She was about done with the falling into places. She looked around and saw a girl laying down on the ground in some roses. The girl had long white hair that was put in a ponytail. She had scars on herself as well. Frisk started to approach the girl. As she got closer she saw that the roses seemed to be burnt and a bit of the floor as well. She suddenly became more cautious. The girl had her eyes closed like she was sleeping and was breathing softly. If you didn't look close enough she looked like she could be dead. "Umm...excuse me?" Frisk asked. The girl opened her eyes and looked at Frisk. Her eyes were pure white. Frisk looked startled for a moment before calming down. "Umm do you know where the exit is?...". "Maybe" the girl replied. "Is that a yes or a no?..." "Why do you want to know?". Frisk sighed "I need to get back above". "Then I can't help you" the girl said closing her eyes again. Frisk got a bit annoyed as she started to look around for a exit herself but found nothing. She was starting to get even more annoyed "why won't you just tell me where it is?" She asked the girl. "Cause you don't need to go any further". Frisk growled a bit "that's it! Just tell me where the exit is!" Before she could do anything a heart like light seemed to come out of frisk. "W-wha..." she knows it's her soul. Toriel had told her. But why was it showing now?...
The girl looked up at it "are you trying to fight me?" She asked and looked over in frisk's direction. "What?! N..." frisk thought for a moment "...yes! If I win you have to show me where the exit is!". The girl stood up. Frisk gulped at the height of her. She was much taller then Frisk thought.
