She smiled, twitched her eyebrow and said, "How do I look beautiful after this tiring journey? Are all my childhood friends that daft dad?" Our parents started laughing and I replied, "Who said I was talking about you anyways? Aunty, you look beautiful and younger than any of us."
My dad kept giggling with his parental jokes, getting deep into history of my play school and then, the second standard when I had first met Rohini.
Rohini was sitting in the hall, listening to our stories while I kept working along with mom, trying to help her get some stuffs we never had on time when some guests would arrive. I borrowed money from mom and called the lift. My mom came running out and said, "Add eggs. Don't forget to bring eggs." I nodded my head and lift came up.It's door was about to close when I saw Rohini standing infront of me. She said something which I could not hear properly.
Throughout the journey of three floors, I kept joining those pieces of letters I had heard her saying. Finally, I reached a compendium as always, saying to myself, "I won't ever be cool to guests."
Walking out of society, I looked up to my window. Rohini was standing there, staring outside, her eyes caught mine and she smiled. I smiled back and continued to walk to the shop.
Coming back, I rang the bell and Rohini opened. She took those handbags from me and kept them in the kitchen saying to my mom, "Aunty, any help?"
I walked off to the other room with a smile. Being too shy to talk about anything, I turned on the television, tuning channels, trying to locate my Shinchan.
Suddenly, someone knocked the door. It was Rohini. I changed the channel to cricket and said, "Don't peep. Come in as the president permits."
She pushed the door, sat next to me and suddenly, the smell around turned to whiff. She looked at me smiling and said, "Tell me what you were watching. Do not lie."
I moved remote away from me and replied, "Nothing. Some kids' channel popped out of nowhere as soon as I turned on the tele."
She giggled, snatched the remote from my hand and together, we started watching Shinchan. She twitched her eyebrow and said, "I love this show. Didn't know there are others like me here.."Author's Note :- At times, I've failed to realise the telepathy between us. Her eyes have been able to speak a lot all these days and my voice has been enough for her to know my mood and what I'd do at any instant.
In all, every relationship I've ever had, a relation of friend having coffee together, a caring friend, someone who can help me get along my career or someone who can remind me my dreams, she has been everything. She has completed me.
