Everyday, she has a smile on her face
A gorgeous smile that captures joy
Not once, it turns into a frown
But what people don't know
Is the agonizing secret hidden deep inside her heart

Her positive expression turns into a painful one
Endless streams of tears roll down her cheeks
Drawing paintings with a twist
Paintbrush being a blade
And paper being her wrist

Next day, she acts like nothing is wrong
Her smile being so real, that no one knows what's happening inside
Laughing, hiding all the pain and insecurities she has
Covering her scars of grieve with long sleeves

The jagged and ugly lines on her wrists
That represents the million tears she shed
Falling apart in many pieces
With no one there, to put her back together

She keeps falling in this endless pit of sorrow
Thinking there's no way out of it
Until a hand comes, liberating her from the darkness
Hugging her tight, fixing all her broken pieces

The clouds of darkness surrounding her
Are fading away
The girl who once struggled to find happiness
Is grinning from ear to ear, elated about who she is now
