I looked up from my workstation with a certain intention in mind. My mind was on food, and my mission was to find some. Luckily, I was in foods class at the time, so finding food would be a snap. However, I could have never imagined how my life would be so different after that day. Some would say that it was a mere coincidence, yet others blame it on destiny. I prefer to think of it as something that was always meant to be. It’s almost like how the Earth spins, in the sense that it’s in constant motion and nothing will ever disturb it. See, I grew up believing that all I needed to have a happy life was me and me alone. I never thought of love as a necessity, and I certainly never thought my heart would belong to anyone. But I knew that at the moment I saw her face, my life and perspective would change eternally. The way she made me feel inside... It was indescribable. Her beautiful smile made my heart stop so suddenly. When she spoke, time seemed to have stopped completely. I stood there motionless while love struck me like lightning on a rainy day. All my worries seemed to dissipate as thoughts of joy and happiness filled my mind. Is this what true love feels like? I wasn’t entirely sure at the time. However, the one thing I was sure of was that this was love at first sight.

I didn’t just want her. I needed her in my life. I knew I couldn’t live with myself knowing that someone so perfect was out there alone. My future would shine so brightly if I had a girl like her. I mean, she literally glowed with radiance as she stood in front of me. So many glorious and comforting thoughts rushed into my mind like wind on a chilly autumn day. I was born with spaces between my fingers only so I can hold her small tender hands as they perfectly interlock within mine. As she spoke, the way her lips moved were almost hypnotic. They seemed so soft and kissable, and I would have given up anything just for one kiss. She was the one thing I desired, and she made everything else in life seem of less importance. The way her brown eyes and brown hair complimented each other in perfect harmony was enough to take my breath away. She was my definition of perfect, and she has been my definition of perfect to this day.
