Back home, whenever I had a chance to have a "free time"  there are three things that I would usually do: EAT, READ, SLEEP.  I know its not that fun but thats the only way I could treat myself from a hectic and tiring day from school.

The last thing that I would do in my free time is to WAIT for somebody patiently out of the Dressing room. Though I dont know why im standing here out of this dressing room waiting for my Mom to finish after asking me for ten times whether that yellow sundress she picked look good on her. And here we go again..

"Does my hips look fat on this dress, Honey?" she stared at the mirror like a hundred times already and now shes doing it again.

Everyone who knows my mom would always say 'Tina, you really really look young. What's your secret?' and worst, they would look at me like im the mom and my mom is my daughter. Get it? Im the mom. And she's my daughter. Great.

Well Im not actually complaining about it and all.  Its actually nice to hear people praising your mom. It makes a big deal for me. Im the daughter. The complement goes for me too.. Right?

"Mom, if you won't buy that dress can I burn it now?" I hissed and turned my heel around.

She laughed at my annoyance. "Well look who needs some icecream"

As I heard the word ICECREAM, I instantly want to cry out. Thats the first thing i want to hear whenever I get  irritated and annoyed. And maybe bacause the inevitable heat makes me crave for it more.  A smile escaped from my lips knowing that my mum knows my very weakness.

Nilo was sitting on the chair near the dressing room and he's having a conversation with the employee. So i came near them.

"Do y-you wor-rk  he-here?" he asked the employee while playing with his little fingers.

The employee smiled at him and said "Yes sweetie, do you want to work here too so that I could talk to a cute little guy like you more often?"

"I-i dont think it would be le-egal. Im ju-ust three" and he gestured his fingers into three.

The employee laughed and pinched my brothers cheeks softly. "Are you sure about that little mister, because you sound older to me." She said.

Nilo stared at her with his fluffy brown eyes and said " do I look like fif-ty to you? " he whispered and streses the word 'fifty' like it was some sort of a secret and continued " b'cause I think i am ".

I cleared my throat audibly and they both looked at me. The employee stood up and smiled at me saying " He's so adorable and smart". I smiled back at her warmly.

"I think I'll get this one and this one" Mom told the employee while putting the dresses on the counter.

Finally!

After she paid for the dresses we went on a search for a good icecream like what mum promised earlier.

As we walked along the island street, Nilo saw a tarp with mouth-watering pictures of icecreams on it. He gripped Mum's hand and points out his finger at the tarp.

Mom immediately looked at it and said " Looks like our little boy knows how to choose good icecream stores, Kaye". I looked at Nilo and said "Great taste Nilo!" gesturing a two thumbs up and a big proud sister smile.

So we got ourselves in this icecream store called "Fruits in Icecream" which is best known for their creamy and soft lingering icecream  that explodes in your mouth with delicacy and exquisite taste once it enters your mouth. It is actually  less sweet than commercialized ice cream brands and has more real and natural flavor. Im not endorsing it or whatever, its how i knew it is.
