Chapter 1:

_____________________________________________________________________________

I lean my head against the black SUV car door. It was dark outside...

The window was down but not low enough for me to climb out... Damn.

I felt the wind wash through my long straight black hair, sending shivers through me.

I placed my left leg up - almost touching my chin - and my other crossed underneath.

I had on my black mini skirt that was loose. I had my dark purple tights underneath and black leg-warmers over my dark purple high tops. All stars converse kind not the cheap stuff. I wore my dark purple tank and a black loose top over it, which sleeves go on my shoulders.

I put my earphones on and played Evanescence. I sung along to it as I continued to hit the front seat - annoying my idiotic father.

"Stop hitting my seat, Violet!" he yelled at me.

I smiled, I seceded at annoying him.

He continued driving as I stopped hitting his seat and laid out on the back seat. I stretched out and started kicking the door hard.

One reason was because I had to get out of this stupid SUV and the other reason would be I hated my parents.

James - my stupid excuse for a father - slammed the brakes and I rolled off the back seats - having not worn a seatbelt - and landed on my stomach on the floor.

Ouch...That was gonna leave a bruise...

"God dammit Violet! Settle down and we'll stop soon!" my father yelled.

"Honey, listen to your father. Well stop soon for dinner" my mother said sweetly in the front seat.

I rolled my eyes and got off the small floor and took my seat again. I brushed out my hair and fixed my thick side fringe - it covered nearly half of my face.

My earphones fell out as I had fallen so I put them back in and listened to Black Veil Brides.

I sat crossed legged on the back seat and stuff my iPhone into my bra. I grabbed my black side bag and pulled out the small black bag I kept for makeup.

Might as well do something useful for myself...

I held out my small mirror and put on some black eyeliner around my unnaturally bright blue eyes. I smoked up my eyes a bit and smiled.

That is how I like my makeup. I sometimes wear black or some other dark color lipstick, but that's usually it. It's all about the eyes for me - with my pale completion and my blue eyes with black around it, it makes them POP!

When I packed away my makeup and put it in my bag, I pulled out my black nail polish. I painted my toes last night so I want it to be matching.

I pulled off my black and dark purple stripped arm warmers. Careful to not show my scars, I gently painted my nails black.

Yes, I'm emo.

I smiled and blow on my nails to dry them.

10 minutes pasted as I shaked my head up and down to Black Veil brides.

I slipped on my arm warmers to cover up my scars once more and put my nail polish in my bag.

I sighed as we drove past more and more boring old dessert.
