(This shall be the last extension.)
It's been about two months since Trafalgar Law finally took Doflamingo down with the aid of the Straw Hats. You had a part to play in that yourself, of course.
Once you found out that Trafalgar Law was on his way to Dressrosa with the Straw Hats, you leaked much information to the little people about Doflamingo's whereabouts on that day and where they'll find most of his executives.
A smile engraving itself into your features as you stare out into the sea, you had the choice to stay at Dressrosa when everybody had found out that you were being forced to stay with Doflamingo against your will and even helped take him down but you had decided not to. Those people had been through hell already and you know that despite their smiles and their pleasantries, they would be better if nothing of Doflamingo remains, not even his bride. At least the Straw Hats were kind enough to take you to this island, Zou.
Some footsteps emerging from behind causes you to spin around, your eyes meeting a pair of familiar orbs that you hadn't seen in a while and you simply can't help but smile at the sight.
"Crocodile!"
Your heart flutters pleasantly at the wide grin on the man's face, it's not like Doflamingo's sadistic-looking smile that you had become accustomed to but it's a genuinely happy expression. One that almost looks out of place on Crocodile's bad-boy face.
However his smile quickly fades when he stops in front of you, a frown etching itself into his features as he cups your cheek. You expect him to attack you in some way, especially after you had stabbed him that time.
Closing your eyes, you press your cheek into his palm awaiting the sharp pain you'll get when he breaks your neck or waiting for the limpness you'll feel when he turns you into a dried out corpse or when he impales you with his hook but nothing comes.
Why?
"My runaway queen...What happened to your face?" Crocodile questions in a surprisingly gentle tone, his voice is still as gruff as ever but it has a tint of real concern laced in it, his thumb carefully running over the scar on your cheek.
You had forgotten about that, you hadn't been forced to wear any make-up these past two months so you have little use for mirrors and nobody mentions the scar here so you forget about it often. It was the result of the time that Doflamingo used his devil fruit abilities on you for headbutting him, it had stopped bleeding but it never seemed to leave your face.
According to Trafalgar Law and the Straw Hat's raccoon-doctor, it's highly likely that it'll be with you for life.
Putting on a brave smile, you open your eyes to lock orbs with your old flame, your heart seeming to quiver and ache with the urge to hug him but you're not going to push anything here. First, he needs explanations. About many things.
"I tried to run away, of course...~" You finally answer his question with a forced playful chirp in your tone, a smile plastered across your lips as you trace your fingers over his knuckles. You could feel your cheeks beginning to burn up at the sensation, surely he can feel your blush on his palm but you can't help it, his hand feels just as soft and warm as it did when you first met him. It feels like such a long time ago now. "I'm...I'm sorry for stabbing y--!"
"That wasn't you." Crocodile speaks over your words, his hand now leaving your face to take his cigar out of his mouth before he plants a gentle kiss on your forehead. "I know Doflamingo made people move against their will at Marineford, I guessed that was what he did to you also."
All you can offer the male is a shy nod as you smile at his understanding attitude, your eyes falling to the ground as a pleasant tingling sensation soothes you. The kiss he gave has you feeling a sense of security that you haven't felt in such a long time.
"You're brave though, [F/n]. News has it, you sold him out." You don't need to be looking at the gentleman before you to know that he's got a huge smirk on his lips right now. "Take it from somebody who's been locked up at Impel Down, he's going through hell as we speak."
I can't say that I feel sorry for him...
"But the reason I wanted to find you is because I want to ask you something..." Crocodile placing his cigar back in his mouth before his hand takes a gentle grip on your chin, lifting your head gently to look you in the eyes as he speaks. "Will you be interested in running away with me, Runaway Queen~?"
There's something odd about his words and how he uses them, it's mockery but not the same mockery as what you were used to. His comes off more playfully, whereas Doflamingo's was more sadistic.
Maybe it was because Doflamingo had you trapped to the point where he knew you had no choice but to agree to his ways. Crocodile could force you to join him if he wished to, sure. But he doesn't want to force you, he wants you to willfully go with him.
"What if I said no?" The question is more of a test, you want to see if he has the same dark side that Doflamingo has. Crocodile merely falling silent as his smile gradually falls into a very faint pout. Who would have thought that a man of his stature would ever pull such a face...and over a woman, no less.
"I guess it's understandable given what you've been through. If not, then I'll leave you here...but I can't stay with you." The man gloomily answers your question, his hand releasing your wrist and his hook beginning to pull a ring from one of his fingers. "I'll leave this with you, something to remember me by. Or, if you're struggling, something you can sell for food--"
Before letting the man finish his sentence, you place your hands on his cheeks and pull him in for a kiss. Originally, you wanted it to be a quick peck just to show that you're not planning on departing from him but your self-control seems to snap the second your lips touch his.
A small thud noise reaching your ears before Crocodile's arms find their way around your waist, it's safe to assume that the sound was most likely him dropping the ring he was about to give you into the grass out of surprise. His lips melding perfectly with yours as he runs his tongue along your bottom lip and without a seconds hesitation, you allow him access.
Your back being pressed against a tree as Crocodile's tongue explores your wet cavern, his hand resting firmly on your hip and even squeezing slightly before he breaks the liplock for air. It's a lot shorter than the kisses he used to give you but...in his defense, you did catch him off guard this time.
"I think...I might just run away with my Sand King after all~!"
Your words spark the most adorable smile you've ever seen from Crocodile before he forces it back, his eyes now averting to the ground and the shocking sight of a pale blush invading his cheeks.
Oh my, he's cute!
"R-Right...Mr. 1 will help with your luggage. Meanwhile, I'll show you around our new ship."
Mr. 1? Wait, Crocodile has a ship?! I get to travel the world with this man instead of being locked up in a castle all day?! Oh, this is the life!
"I'll allow you to meet Mr. 1 properly later, he'll act as your bodyguard for when I'm not around. And he'll kill anyone who intends to inflict harm upon you."
"Croccy, do you have an entire crew~?"
"Ye--D-Don't call me that, [F/n]."
"Okay, what about Croco-boy~?"
"Cro--?! Call me that again and you're staying on this island..."
He's awfully cute when he's flustered, this is going to be fun!
--------okay, truly the end now.---------
