She frowns, confused and sad.  Staring at her daughter, she wonders how this could have ever happened.  The once beautiful face is now marred with death, white and cold.  Up and down her daughter’s arms are long, jagged scars, each more clean and precise, but more numerous the farther you go up.

The funeral was a closed casket, but a nice picture beside the long, black tube to remember Analise by.  Her long red hair hangs in waves around her cheeks and her grey eyes sparkle with laughter.  That’s how she wants to remember her daughter: happy, beautiful, smiling.

*~*~*

She doesn’t want to think about the way Analise slowly deteriorated before her eyes, how Analise never smiled, laughed, joked…Analise stopped being Analise.

She remembers the strange texts she got the last few days before…Analise…passed.  She doesn’t blame herself for not knowing what was coming.  How could she?  Along with everyone else, she was in denial about the real problems going on with Analise.

Looking at her phone, Grace scrolls through the past week’s messages from Analise.  With a sob, Grace falls to her bed, pushing a pillow against her face to smother the loud cry that rips out of her throat.  In front of her, the screen still glowing is the last message from Analise.

Grace: Good night!  J

Analise: I hope ull miss me.  :*(

The next morning Analise was found dead by her mother, a bottle of Tylenol on her bedside table.  Analise had committed suicide.

Grace, full of detest for Marisa and Rebecca, finally put everything together while sobbing her eyes out.  Marisa and Rebecca are snobby girls who don’t think about anyone else.  In passing, Grace had heard the posse making fun of Analise, but it was only once, so Grace never thought more of it.

But what if the posse really did bully Analise every day, making her feel bad about herself.  Analise did seem to be making a big effort to hide her odor, but it was a medical issue that couldn’t really be fixed.  If Analise was bullied, she would have to have some way of release, which would explain the long sleeves.  And eventually, Analise would have just lost it and killed herself, which she did.

Grace finally came to a conclusion after going to bed.  Even if Marisa and Rebecca didn’t feed those pills to Analise, they sure made it happen.  Marisa and Rebecca are murderers of not only dreams and happiness, but of Analise.  Marisa and Rebecca murdered Analise.
