so i was researching british slang from the 1900s last night or so for this thing i was writing and i came across this very handy website, like everything on alphabetical order and shit.
and you know what gem i found at the letter c?
apparently british people, after they like, went to prison, and they would like explain they had been in prison, they would use 'college' instead of prison.
british people said: 'i went to college', and mean prison.
