Memories of the Year Before

Jonathan's P.O.V.

I was woken up by my alarm and already dreading this day with everything I had, until I heard a creek from the direction of my door and little foot steps running to my bed. I smiled at the sudden little tugs that came from the end of my bed indicating a little struggle, and when the tugging stopped I slightly opened one eye and saw a little girl with the brightest smile that changed my mood instantly. I continued to play being asleep making the little girl giggle in excitement. As she crawled slowly thinking that she would wake me up, I waited patiently for the right moment. When she stopped preparing to scare me awake, I suddenly sat up and grabbed her and started to kiss her all over making her laugh in hysteria. I stopped and looked at her with small tears on her eyes.

" What is the magic word?" I asked

" Foods ready." She said with a smile

" That's not it, but it will do for now." I said kissing her forehead and caring her with me as I got out of bed.

I walked down the hallway and made our way to the kitchen. Not even halfway and we could already smelled the food, and the little child being her she started to squirm in my arms so I put her down and she went off running to the kitchen. I continued to walk and saw that she was already in her "chair" that was painted pink just for her.

" Good morning Van." I said walking past the women making the food and going to the fridge to get something to drink

" Good morning to you too sweet heart, are you exited?" She asked taking her attention from the eggs and placing it on me

" It's just whatever, I already know what's going to happen today anyways." I said grabbing the orange juice and a glass from the pantry, " Fresh?" I asked pouring some in the glass

" Of course, only the best for the genius and for the little princess." She said placing the cooked eggs with the rest of the food she made.

" You do know that the store bought juice isn't going to kill us, why do you always trouble yourself with doing this?" I said taking my seat next to "her highness" and smiled at the girl trying her hardest to eat by herself

" You don't know what they put in those things, you never know if they are slowly poisoning us with that stuff, and plus I read that it helps kids with something in the brain or something like that." She said as she brought two other plates and sat down getting one of the plates and placed the other plate in the empty spot in the table.

" She worked late yesterday again?" I asked looking at the empty chair

" Yeah, but yesterday was the last day she is going to do that. She got the promotion meaning that she's going to get less hours and get paid more, as well as it comes with a yearly bonus at the end of the year. Meaning I can finally get that expansion to the house I always wanted." She said

" Why do you want another room?" I asked

She looked at her stomach with happiness, wait she can't be..." Wait your pregnant!" I said with excitement

" Yeah, with twins." She said looking up

" Wait so both of the eggs stuck." I said with disbelief. She nodded and I got up and hugged her

When I let go of her she answered my question, " Where moving you to the study, and making one of the new rooms the new study, and the other my office of sorts. Making your room the nursery since our room connects to your room."

" Why are you moving me, I don't mind staying where I am." I said finishing my food

" Where moving you because Gabby wants to give you your privacy and as well as buy you a new bigger bed as well as a bigger T.V. And because the study is practically the same size as the master room." She answered
