"I said wake up!"
"Huh...? OH SHOOT I'M LATE!" Marco sat up quickly as Jean sat next to him on his bed.
"You better get ready, Marco!" Jean said in a joking manner.
"Thanks for waking me up!" Marco chuckled immediately starting to get dressed. "You always keep me going.".
"I don't think I want to see you getting in trouble, plus, I can't handle those Titans alone!" Jean put a hand on Marco's shoulder.
"Thanks Jean. Thanks." Marco smiled at him as he finished getting ready.
"Now come on! Eren and the rest are waiting for us outside!" Jean grabbed Marco's hand and started to tug. 'Silly Jean, what a great best friend to have... Oh, it's my birthday today!' Marco went along.
"Hey Jean! Did you know today-" Marco was interrupted by Jean suddenly turning around and covering his eyes. "What are you-"
"SURPRISE!!!!!!" Eren yelled.
"Happy birthday!" Connie slapped Marco on his back.
"Happy birthday! You're old now." Reiner said jokingly.
"WE GOT YOU FOOD." Sasha added with her cheeky grin.
"Happy birthday. We got you a birthday meal." Mikasa said quietly.
"You guys... Thanks so much!!" Marco stood there, looking at all of them. "But... Don't we have the first patrol on the wall?" Marco said feeling happy but concerned.
"Well... You see, Commander Erwin told us since it's your birthday, you could have the first hour off!" Sasha said none the less keeping her grin.
"Oh wow...! Thank you so much, everyone!" Marco smiled.
"It was really Jean's idea..." Mikasa pointed. Marco looked at Jean. Marco slowly walked over to Jean and hugged him.
"Thanks my man. This means a lot." Marco thanked him wholeheartedly. Jean stood shocked for a moment before he hugged back.
"Anytime Marco. Anytime." Jean gave him the fierce eyebrow smile. (LOL) They both laughed as the rest of their friends did. 'My friends do care for me. I'm so happy. Thanks, Jean. I will always love you like the closest brother I have.'
