Imagine a bird trapped in a cage. Imagine a criminal held prisoner in a cell. Imagine a man held at his neck. In these three, there's only one thing we can imagine, there is no freedom, there is no independence.
But first, what is independence? Independence is doing what you want, but with limitations. It's just a simple word, but its significance means a lot to us.
Who wouldn't want to be free, right? Basically, all of us wanted to have our own freedom. Just like our national heroes. They wanted to become independent so they fought those who colonized our country, and they died to achieve the freedom we all wanted. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't be living our lives to the fullest like we do now.
Freedom is a meaningful word and yet it is also the thing that every person in this world deserves to have, because in life, a person without freedom will never have his/her happiness.
We can live without independence. But we can't live without freedom.
Let say that you can live without freedom, but do you live because of your own will, or for the others? It's hard to do a thing that you don't like. You look like a docile dog who do all the things that its master wants.
So do what you want. Live without limits, but you should be responsible for all the things that you will make. Because every step that you do can change everything in a snap.
Life is too short, so live life with freedom. Live life with independence. Because independence has a big essence.
