It's almost impossible to stop because once they make it their goal, they'll try to accomplish it. When you want people to care, they almost always seem to care too late. People proclaim that they are there for them. But, do they know about how they cry themselves to sleep? So they know about the thoughts in their head? Do they know about the scars in their heart, the scars on their bodies? They're oblivious. Oblivious to the fact that they are hurting and that they need someone. Not someone who say they will help in times of need but ones who prove that they will. Somebody who is willing to do anything to not lose them. Sometimes all you have to do it be there. Be the friend they wish to have. Tell them you love them. Tell them that you are always here for them. Be the one who stays up until 4 a.m and stops their tears and stops them from doing something that could be permanent. Sometimes, it can be enough. Enough to save a life.

There are times, when this isn't enough. This was one of those times.
