Chapter 7: A Puggy Party

(It's been a year since I've updated this story but I had already started this chapter last August so I decided to finish it. It's longer than usual but if you want me to continue then please do ask me)

At last, it was Joey's Birthday, Joey was excited and couldn't wait for his party because he had invited all his friends to come round and play. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" said Zoe as she jumped up and down with excitement. I gave Joey and Zoe a huge breakfast to get them full of energy; I and the pugs went out to buy Joey a Birthday present. We went to a huge pet store called "Super Pets", as soon as we arrived Joey and Zoe ran inside "So what would you like?" I said to Joey. Soon after, we were going through aisles and aisles of pet toys, collars, beds, and treats; Joey couldn't decide on what to get, there was so much he wanted.

We had spent almost an hour inside the store because Joey couldn't choose what to get. Finally, Joey decided to get a new fluffy bed, we purchased it and went home. It was an hour until the party and we were just setting up the decoration and baking a cake; an hour later, Joey's friends started knocking on the door and Joey was inviting them in as I was taking the cake out the oven.

The cake was perfect. I went out of the kitchen and into the living room to greet everyone. At the corner of the room was presents stacked on top of more presents it was like a tower gifts waiting to be opened by Joey. We went to eat the cake, we gathered round the table as I sliced the cake and equally divided it into 8 pieces.
we finished eating the cake, everyone was full and was ready to open presents.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I opened the door it was a repair worker that said he was going around the neighbourhood helping to fix any damaged property for free. I let him in and lead him to the upstairs toilets as there was a leak in the sink. I let him to do his work. As I returned downstairs, all Joey's friends were gathered round the sofa ready to open there presents. When suddenly, the letter hatch opened and out came a leaflet that was advertising a new Park just down the road. "Before we open up your presents, how about we go play at the park" I asked. All the pugs agreed that we should go. I packed all the dog toys and other essentials. I asked my neighbour to watch the house as the repair man was still working. I told her to check the house every so often.

We walked to the park; it was very close yet somehow we've never seen it. We played at the park for about an hour and decided to go back to open the presents. When we got home, we found out that all Joey's presents had vanished. "We had a thief!" I exclaimed. I ran upstairs and the repair man was still repairing. I told him what happened and asked if he had seen anyone. The repair man said "yes, I saw a person dressed in a black top and also a blue van outside but I thought it was you".

Me, Joey and Zoe went to search around the neighborhood as the others sat and watched TV. Joey farted out his rainbows and propelled into the sky so he could get an overview of the whole neighbourhood. When suddenly at the corner of his eye was the glimpse of a blue van Park outside a small warehouse. We ran as fast as we could. We arrived at the warehouse and parked there was the blue van but there was no one in sight. The back door was left open and inside was all Joey's presents. I called the police and started to unloaded all the present back home. Soon after, the driver came out and was arrested by the police.

We went home and opened up Joey's present. He got lots of new toys and treats. At the end of the day, all Joey's friends went home and I went to tuck Joey and Zoe into bed.
