Sitting at my laptop, in class, meant to be doing my assignment was not the best time for paris to need me.

The tapping noise of keyboard keys was the only noise that filled the classroom, until the explosions of the town interrupted us, sending the class into a frenzy.

People running around the classroom, hurrying to get to safety was the perfect cover for me to transform and save them but I didn't have a lot of time.

Running down the hall, dodging screaming student and teachers alike, as I struggled to get to the bathroom as bodies crashed into me, knocking me down, onto the cold concrete floor of the hallways.

I hand was in my face, and I struggled to understand what was going on, my brain to sore and fuzzy to understand anything.

"Alya? You okay?" A very familiar face popped into my vision and I realized it was Nino, holding his hand out in support. I grabbed it in thankfulness, and we stood there staring into each others eyes before snapping back to reality.

"Well... I gotta go... a super villain to run away from ya know..." He said, before waving and dashing away, as I stood there in awe, while the sound of an explosion snapped me back to reality, and sprinted off to the bathroom.

As Trixx flew out of my jean pocket, she giggled. "You just had a Marinette moment!" She howled with laughter as I rolled my eyes. "Just shut up and get into the damn necklace." I muttered as she continued to snort.

"Trixx, TAIL UP!" I yelled somewhat forcefully, as she continued to giggle as she flew into my necklace.

I was immediately covered in an orange spandex outfit complete with orange fox ears and a a fox tail, and I rushed off to save the world.

Well.. Paris...

I burst onto the scene just in time to see Volpina throw a fire ball through the broken glass window in one of the classrooms, and my mind went numb. I didn't know what to do. I froze.

Before I knew what was happening, my instincts kicked in, and I was kicking and fighting my way through the crowd, who let me through, their faces showing shock and relief.

I threw myself in front of everyone, stretching myself out, to take the full impact of the fireball.

I knew this was it.

I knew I was going to die.

But no one would remember one girl dying, they would however remember a whole class of people dying, so my sacrifice would not be in vain. I was ready... sorta.

The flaming ball of fire came closer, and I prepared myself for the heat and impact of it. But there was nothing, in fact it was quite the opposite.

It came closer and closer, and I closed my eyes bracing myself, and breathing in what would be my last breath and then-

Coldness.

It was like someone had tipped a whole bucket of water on me, that dried instantly.

It was cold, then warm, than cold again, and when I opened my eyes, there was nothing. No fireball, no Volpina, nothing.

I was in shock.
