Chp 9 - Let's Hurt Tonight

It's about two weeks later, and Friday morning never felt so good. The sun is shining, the earth is spinning, and the inhabitants still breathing. National City is safe and sound.

Though the sun never shy to shine its ray and offers a new energy day by day to the Earth's population, there's one inhabitant who's longing for his own personal ray of sunshine on his daily basis. The one of a kind alien, who is still learning on how to do the right thing on Earth, Mon-El, and his ray of sunshine, Kara.

The day just started. As per usual, Mon El just finished his morning routine; exercising, working out, training - only this time, he's doing the training alone.

He's been doing things all alone on Earth lately. His mentor, Kara Danvers or Kara Zor-El also known as Supergirl, has been out of touch, MIA. She's been kind of distant these past view days or so, so he had to work out and training alone, just at the time when he's getting used to be around her, being near her. He didn't really understand why she's so distant. She used to be the one who's taking him under her wings, mentoring him, be there for him even when he didn't ask to. But now, somehow, she just wasn't there. It was like she just slipped away.

Of those two weeks after Barry went back home to his Earth, Mon-El only met Kara in couple 'occasions'; like when there's an emergency, or an alien showed up somewhere and causing trouble, or when The DEO called, that's all, and that's not enough - not for him. And he missed her. Of course he missed her. He missed training with her. He missed spending time together with her. He missed seeing her, and he missed to work alongside with her.

Like, just about last week, they went to save a missing girl name Izzy Williams. They went on a mission to save this girl along with other humans who get trapped for human trafficking - together. He even came to her apartment later on, with her favorite Club Soda on his hand, and they talked. But the day after that, and the day after tomorrow, nothing. It made him wondered if she was just busy with work or in fact avoiding him. He couldn't help but wonder what did he do wrong this time.

He wished he could get closer to her like those weeks before something happened, before that Conner guy happened, before that Conner guy got in the way. Because with this Conner guy in the picture, Kara seemed astounded by him. And no matter how many times he convinced himself that Kara has the right to be happy even if it's not with him, he couldn't help but think that Kara could do better than to be with this Conner guy, like she could - or should be with him.

That guy really gets to his nerve, and Mon-El could feel something's off about him. He has his suspicions. And Kara and Conner, were supposed to have a night out together two weeks ago. Although that taco and salsa night turned out didn't happen, but he knew this Conner guy will do anything to get Kara's attention, and just the thought of it bothered him. He wished he could get in touch with her, and if it's not by seeing her in front of him, just to listen to her voice would be nice. There's this device on Earth that he never get to use, a cell phone. And that's what connecting people these days, so he thought he might need one, to connect him with her.

"Mon El!", he heard Winn's voice called him as he walked to the monitoring room.

"Hey. What's up?", Mon El walked to him.

"J'onn was asking me to get one of this for you", Winn said excitedly as he handed him something in rectangular shape black colored device.

"This called a cell phone. We figured you might need one for yourself. You used it to-"

"Call, texting, taking pictures, mails and everything. Wow, thank you, Winn", he was surprised. He was dumbstruck for a second before he took the phone from him and amazed by the device. Excitements filled his stomach. I have a cellphone! He grinned.
