The Letter

It was a normal day in the guild. Loud, noisy and lots of fights. Yep. That's normal. Or at least for Fairy Tail. Lucy was sat at the bar drinking a strawberry milkshake while Natsu and Gray were fighting. "Undie flashing freak!" "Ash for brains!" "Pervert!" "Who you calling a pervert pinkie?!" "You! You loud mouth streaker!" "Enough!" Erza screamed, smashing their heads together. Hey Lucy, I've got a letter here for you." Mira said, bringing Lucy out of her daydream. "Thanks Mira!" She took the letter and began to walk to the guild doors. "Hey Luce!" Natsu cheered as he came over to her. "Where are you going?" "I'm going back to my apartment." "Can I come?" "Sure." "Yay! Happy lets go!" "Aye sir!" They all left and went to her apartment.

When they got there Lucy made cookies and the boys ate them happily. While they ate Lucy went into a different room and read the letter.

Dear Lucy Heartfilia,

I was friends with your parents. They told me to tell you when you turn 18. And I know you will be 18 on the 7th of July. Which, by the time you read this, should be tomorrow. They couldn't tell you until you were older. Your mother was born as a demon. She wasn't one like the demons Zeref created but she is still a demon. I'm sorry. But you are also a demon. You don't just have celestial magic. You have demon magic or curses or whatever you want to call it. I'm afraid I do not know what you can do but I do know this. People will target you. On the hour of your birth your demon powers will unlock. Make sure you are not near anyone. And be careful. Happy birthday for tomorrow.

Lucy was in shock. She was a demon? Like Tartarus? But the person said she wasn't one of Zeref's demons. She was confused. "Hey Luce! Whatcha reading?" She heard Natsu ask from behind her. She hid the letter. "Nothing." Natsu looked at her with a serious look. "I know your hiding something. What is it? You know you can tell me." "I said it was nothing!" She shouted. She ran out of the room and into her bathroom. She locked the door and the window because knowing Natsu he would jump in through there. And she was right. Within seconds Natsu was at the window trying to open it. She looked away from him and I fronted him tapping on the window. She heard some noises and then nothing. When she looked around he wasn't there anymore. She sat down on the toilet and sighed. Looking at he letter she didn't notice a certain someone opening the door. "Lucy, what is wrong. You know you can tell me." She looked up and saw Natsu standing there. "How did you get in here?!" She screamed. "You should really keep your door keys in a secret place and not in the cookie jar." She blushed. She forgot about the keys in the jar. "Nothing is wrong Natsu. I'm fine." She said. "I don't believe you. Please Lucy. Tell me." Lucy looked down at her hands. She didn't want to tell him that she was a demon. What would he say? Would he tell Fairy Tail? Would he hate her? She then thought of something. "Fine. As long as you shut up." She whispered. Natsu nodded. "It's my birthday tomorrow." Natsu blinked. "Is that why your upset?" Lucy nodded. It was true but it wasn't why she was upset. "Well then." Natsu then walked out the door. Was he mad? She didn't bother. She couldn't. She went straight to her bed and collapsed onto it and fell onto a long sleep.
