Introduction
The four nationsThe Kharesan Empire
Ruled by Lord BenzinA cold and dark land, where the sun rarely ever shines through the clouds and nothing ever grows. The ruler is just as harsh as the weather, always looking for more ways to earn power and make his mark on history.
The Kingdom of Sohan
Was ruled by the Broussard dynastyA kingdom hidden in the trees. They had formed a close bond with the elven people before their kingdom was overthrown by the Kharesan Empire and their people were slain, imprisoned or fled to the forest and Zanoryn. Now, the land is used for resources by orders of Lord Benzin.
The Kingdom of Zanoryn
Ruled by the Mormont dynastyThe largest kingdom, known for its warm weather and many fields for farming and villages. Known as utopia to those who seek refuge away from the Kharesan empire due to its large walls, diverse citizens and strong army.
The Kingdom of Eastadora
Ruled by the Vinet dynastyA small, reserved kingdom that's known for staying out of trouble. They try to avoid conflict and like to focus on the happiness of their citizens instead of the horrors going on beyond their land. Some say it's leaders use magic to keep their people unaware of the war at hand.
Forbidden Lands
Ruled by no kingdomDifferent areas of land between and around the different kingdoms. It is ruled by bandits, mages and elven, depending on the location. It's a place known to be unsafe for the average peasant.

History of the Four kingdoms.
Each with their own land and people to rule over. Each one different in culture, location and leaders. A four way alliance kept the peace between them all -
Until the war.
It began when Lord Benzin decided to form an attack on the kingdom of Sohan. With little time to prepare and an army only built to handle problems within their walls, they were easily overpowered and defeated.
The Broussard dynasty had said to have all died that day. With the kingdom of Sohan conquered and it's people either fleeing or becoming slaves to the new throne, the Kharesan Empire grew in size and deadliness.
As for the other two kingdoms, they decided to ally themselves. The kingdom of Eastadora is too small and weak to defend themselves from attack and need the kingdom of Zanoryn for protection. As for the kingdom of Zanoryn, the increase in troops might just be enough to put an end to Lord Benzin's schemes.

The selection.
A tradition that has gone on for year decades. When a handful of princes become of age, a selection of girls are selected to present themselves to the suitors in hopes of winning their heart.
These girls are picked from all backgrounds - princesses from different kingdoms, daughters of powerful families and the odd girl from interesting lineages. As long as they had an invitation, sent by an unknown source (which some say rumour is a witch in the lands no where goes), they are cleared to enter.
This year, the selection will be hosted by The Kingdom of Zanoryn, with four different suitors at play. The first two are the king's two sons, the second being the son of Lord Benzin of the Kharesan Empire and the last being a peculiar boy from the forbidden lands.

Side Note
It's been well over a good year since I've lasted role-played / hosted a roleplay, so if it seems like I'm a little behind at times, that's why. Also, I'm currently in Tokyo so because of time zones, activity might be a bit weird, but I'm sure it'll work once we get into it.
Finally, I have to confess that I've never actually read the selection. I just liked the idea of people competing for romance and the drama of that combined with the looming threat of war. So yeah, please don't attack me if it doesn't run exactly like you're use to.
