The Beginner's task was to draw a song, so I chose the song "The Wolf" by Siames.
While the meaning of the song may not be evident through just listening to the lyrics, if you look deeper and consider the music video, the song is really about our addictions, bad habits, and troubles in life. The things we try to escape but that always drag us back in.
The girl in my drawing wasn't strong enough to fight back, unlike the person in the end of the music video. She gave up and gave in, letting the wolf take over.

The red and black correlate with the color pallet of the wolf in the music video. The stripes on her shirt symbolize how imprisoned and trapped she feels by her addictions. The wolf cap over her head represents how "the wolf" is consuming her mind and consciousness, dragging her down deeper. The tear in her pants represents her struggle to escape, and how there is only one tear shows how little she actually tried to fight. Her being barefooted represents how these things in life can totally catch you off guard and unprepared. The border resembles the smoke from her cigarette, and it symbolizes how her addictions have completely surrounded her and trapped her.
Not the happiest of drawings, but it's the harsh reality of how not everyone can fight back against The Wolf.
