The snowy weather today suits my mood perfectly. I get ready and go outside to make a snowman.
Caden walks into my driveway as i finish the base of the snowman.
'Hey'
'Hi' i reply and continue rolling the snowmans upper body. Caden gently grabs me by my shoulders and turns me around, forcing me to look at him
'Come' he says while holding out a hand.
'Yeah but no' i reply and go back to my snowman. I struggle to place the second snowball on top.
'Let me help you' Caden runs over and places the body on the base without any struggle
'Thanks'
'Can i help you with the rest of your snow figure'
I nod my head and throw Caden with a snowball. I run for cover immediately while giggling.
Caden doesnt do anything, he just looks at the snow and then dusts it off. He makes the snowmans head and then i decide to come help him decorate.
'Im going to make this snowman with only one arm' he says as if it's the most normal thing.
'Interesting...'
'It's so that if it comes to life and tries to kill me, it would be easy to stop. But if we fall in love, we can still hold hands' he explains
'Wow' i say. Its such a weird thought to have. I think about it while staring at the snow around my feet. I feel something hit me and then i feel the coldness spread like an icy wildfire throughout my body. The bushes in the driveway rustle and a head pops out of the leaves. Caden grins so brightly i would be surprised if aliens didnt come and complain. I hide behind the one armed snowman and make a snowball between my hands to throw at Caden.
'This means war!' Caden screams and charges out the bushes and chases me around the driveway. I throw my snowball backwards in attempt to stop Caden but fail horribly and end up tripping and landing face first into the snow. Caden stops in his tracks and bursts out laughing and eventually starts crying. By that time i already got up and dusted myself off. He looks at me and then stops laughing and his smile fades all at once.
'You are turning blue' Caden states.
'Because im an undercover smurf' i smirk and move my eyebrows. He smiles and then takes my arm and leads me to my front door.
'May i go inside?' he asks politely
'Yeah' i reply. He drops me by the couch and grabs blankets. He goes to the kitchen and makes a series of loud noises.
'Made you a hot water bottle and hot chocolate' Caden says as he turns the corner of the couch with the items 'You still look cold. Maybe you should go sit infront of that heater' he continues.
I look up at Caden and thank him for the warmth and care.
'I would like to be warm. Not crispy' i say while blowing my hot chocolate to cool it down. Caden switches the television on and hands me the remotes while sitting on the floor by my feet.
'Yo bru... Im not that wide. There is an entire couch to sit on'
'Thanks' Caden says shyly and parks himself a seat away from me.
'What would you like to watch, Caden?' i ask.
'Anything. I don't mind'
'I'm afraid you're going to have to choose a different movie because "Anything. I don't mind" is not on the movie channel today'
Caden just shrugs. I switch the television off and stand up
'Come' i order more than ask.
'Yes sir' he says and marches behind me all the way to my room.
'Oh... My... Goodness! Is... Is that a spinny chair?' Caden shrieks like a little girl who got a pony for Christmas.
'No... Its a person with roller skates' i remark sarcastically.
Caden throws his body down on the spinning chair and spins around in it.
'My mom doesn't allow us to sit in her spinny chair anymore' he complains in a childish voice
'I wonder why' i say sarcastically
I stared at Caden for 15 minutes hoping he would stop turning in the chair but he was too busy on his phone to notice my glare.
Trae walks into my room but didnt notice Caden yet.
'Its trash day tomorrow. You know what that means' I say. I expect him to know that its his turn to take the trash out tomorrow.
'Yeah. It's time for you to go' he says sweetly with a huge grin on his face. Satisfied with his comeback, he exits the room with a sizzling noise.
'Ha! Im a piece of trash' i snort. Caden looks up from his phone and stops spinning around in the chair.
'As someone who deeply cares for the environment, i am obligated to pick you up. How does seven o'clock tomorrow night sound?'
