After I was discharged from hospital the producer asked me where I wanted to go so I turned to him and whispered "I want to see my home planet." Everyone seemed excited but I was nervous, I didn't know if the inhabitants would accept me because I was half human but I willed myself to break away from Earth and take the Verdis Quo and my violin with me.

I boarded the spaceship, only looking back once to say goodbye to the producer. I heard the doors shut and felt positive for once in my life, I was going to leave my terrible life behind and start a new one.

The others were prepared for the obstacles they would face but I was not, when I saw my own father amongst the obstacles I nearly screamed, I had to remain calm for everyone's sake but inside I was about to snap.

When we finally got out of the torture I felt calm again, reassured by the others that home wasn't far; I was so excited, I finally got to see the place I'd been hidden from for so long.

When we came to the planet it looked more beautiful than I'd imagined, I was finally here. This was my home.

The band got me a place to stay and even offered me a job as one of their backup dancers, I was grateful for their kindness.

Finally I was a citizen, uniform and all. This was where I should be.

But after I became a citizen one last surprise greeted me as I was playing Isacc's violin, my door opened and I heard a woman say "Valentina, do you remember me?" I turned around and saw a figure "m-mother?" I stuttered, she smiled and nodded. I was so confused, my mother.... wasn't dead? "Come with me my dear" she told me.

She took me to a statue of a man called Shep, I'd heard about him from Stella (she loved him dearly) my mother pointed up at him and smiled "my son and daughter are reunited at last."

When I told the others they didn't believe me, I couldn't blame them, I hardly believed myself but my mother explained everything to them.

We went out to the statue one last time "I still can't believe it" Stella whispered "my dear Shep was your brother" she hugged me and looked like she was about to cry "if only he were still here, he could see you" I smiled reassuringly and pointed up to the red star "he can see me Stella, he can see all of us and he loves you dearly" I put my arm over my heart and looked up at the statue.

Shep, Stella, Arpegius, Baryl, Octave, the producer, Mother.... Thank you, thank you so much.
