"I can't decide between this dress, or this dress." Susan looks conflicted, holding up a lovely dandelion colored dress and a pretty light pink one.
"I personally like the pink one more," I say. "It looks better on you too."
"I second that," Hannah pokes her head out from the changing room.
Susan nods. "Alright, I was hoping you'd say the pink one." She lays the yellow dress aside.
"What do you guys of this?" Hannah comes out wearing a gorgeous lavender dress.
I gasp. "Oh, Hannah! It's wonderful!! It looks fantastic on you!"
She blushes shyly. "You think so?"
"Definitely." Susan claps. "Get it! There no question about it; it's the perfect dress!"
"Thanks," Hannah beams and disappears back behind the curtain. She comes out a minute later in her jeans and sweatshirt, her dress in hand.
"I'm going to get mine wrapped. Want me to take your's, Susan?"
"Please," Susan hands her dress to Hannah. Hannah waddles over to the lady at the counter.
"So what are you buying?" Susan asks, sitting next to me on the bench.
"I really like this one." I run my fingers over the dress in my lap.
"It is beautiful," Susan admits, fingering one of the sleeves. "It really brings out your eyes and your hair looks lovely next to it."
"Yeah," I smile fondly. Then I sigh. "It's just expensive. It's over my budget." I show her the price tag. Susan whistles. "Yikes,"
"Yeah,"
"You only brought ten galleons right?"
"Yup,"
Susan watches me as I carefully hang the dress back up on its hanger.
"Here," She says suddenly. I turn to see her rummaging through her bag.
"What?"
She holds out five galleons. "Take it,"
"What?! No I couldn't!" I protest.
"Take it," She growls, putting on her scary face. "That dress was made for you and you know it! Buy it!"
"Susan-"
"BUY IT!"
I yelp and take the money from her outstretched palm. "Okay, okay! Thank you."
"Of course," She smiles. "What are friends for, if not to pay for your crazy-expensive dresses?"
"Susan."
"I'm kidding. You're very welcome. Now, go buy it!" She gives me a gentle shove towards the counter.
Laughing, I hand the lady the dress and watch as she puts it neatly in a box.
"I'm so happy you're buying that one." Hannah says, handing Susan her box.
"Me too," I hug my box to my chest as we walk down the street. A cold wind blows making me shiver. "Butterbeer anyone?"
"Yes, please!"
"Only if you pay,"
"Susan!"
"Kidding. Although I did help you buy that dress."
"Okay, true," I laugh. "Alright. Butterbeer's on me!"
