Imagine this: you wake up one day and everything is different. Little things, like the fact that your bedsheets are a slightly lighter shade of green than you remember or that your pajamas feel a bit softer than the night before.

You get up to feed your dog and her bark is slightly higher than ever before and the measuring cup is slightly larger. You cook yourself breakfast and the stove burns a bit hotter. Your girlfriend shows up at your doorstep and she's a little bit shorter.

You notice all of these things, and ask her about them. 'I've always been 5'3",' she replies, even though you're sure at her last doctor's appointment she was 5'4".

Everything around you is different, but only slightly so, so it doesn't bother you. It's not enough to make a big difference. Yet.
