The thing was way too lifeless to the point were Joseph could not feel confident enough to do this experiment.
His comfort zone was a complete failure at the moment.Joseph gulped
Loud cranks were heard from behind so Joseph turned to look at what was happening.
The doors behind were closing and now there was no possible way of escaping. Joseph turned back to look at the lifeless thing.
"Please approach SCP-173 for testing"
When those words were spoken one of the other test subjects started to approch the thing. It was then Joseph realised that there were words imprinted on the back of the orange shirts. The other test subjects had 'CLASS-D' on the back. At the same time when Joseph had realised that the doors that were closed behind them started to open again.
"Ughh, there seems to be a problem with the door control system. The doors aren't responding to any of our attempts to close it. So please remain direct eye contact with SCP-173 and-"
Joseph gasped, the floor rumbled as the voice that was once speaking became muffled and unclear. Then out of the open the facilities lights went out and then back again.
*Snap*
Then it happened again.
*Snap*
Once Joseph could properly see he was greeted by the SCP right infront of him. In the back the other two test subjects lay still on the floor. Blood surrounding them.
Joseph quickly moved back out of the cell.
Another rumble occured before everything went dark again. Once light again the guard at the top of the stand was shooting something.
That something was that thing, or SCP-173
Everything went dark again and soon after there was a complete shut down in the system, from what Joseph could hear.
"BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP"
Joseph turned towards the opened door running out, hardly keeping himself stable. Everything was happening way to fast, definitely way too fast.
Joseph felt like he couldn't breath. His chest felt heavy and he didn't know what to do, he just wanted to escape this place and be back home with his family and friends.
Joseph started to backtrack to the large corridored place where the glass panels were.
To the right side there was a screen showing in the next room but below were Joseph could not access or take a good look around before.
The screen was moving left to right and showed some of the security guards walking backwards cautiously while pointing their guns at something. SCP-173 was down there.
Joseph blinked before walking to were the stairs were accessible. He took some steps down tightly holding onto the railing for support since he was still shook from everything. He looked to his left and saw nothing but a lot of desks. Stepping all the way down the stairs he got a more clearer view of the area and then continued to walk forwards.
Some of the chairs were flipped over and SCP-173 had disappeared.
Joseph walked up to a door that was to his right seeing the red button below the key card scanner.
He pushed the button, but nothing happened.
