As she pulled down the metal door close, she slowly sank into pure darkness. Her breathing broke the cold silence beneath. The underground secret place was no stranger to her, explaining why she knew which wall to reach for a light switch. She squinted her eyes once the faint bulb lit open and found no one else in the bunker.

The place was as small as her room, serving as a hiding spot where one could stay and survive, unless claustrophobic, with supplies stored down there. Two backpacks sat beneath the staircase, both stuffed with essential supplies, waiting to be picked and put to good use.

A loud, full-of-force knocking startled her and made her turn to the metal door. It didn't bother her for there was no way they could destroy it open. There weren't reasons for her to stay. Hence, she took one of the backpacks, unzipping and stuffing it with three more boxes of bullets and sachets of desiccated foods. When she realized she was barefoot, she pushed her feet into a pair of boots and headed quickly to the other door in the bunker. Behind it was a long, dark, bricked wall tunnel, waiting for her and being the only way to get out of this dying place.

With a flashlight in hand and a raising heart, she ran and took her way out as fast as she could. It felt endless and suffocating and it took her minutes to reach the other end, where a similar metal door awaits at the top of a staircase.

On the other side, she sneaked a peek first before finally tilting the door open, emerging from it. She was now inside a small, low-key cave and finally outside, with nothing attacking her by surprise.

When the coast was harmless enough to get through, she stepped out and into the forest floor, moving quickly with extra caution. With the endless roaring alarm, chaos was still in the air. The unwanted creatures wouldn't stop coming, popping out of anywhere and uniting in one place.

For a moment, she paused to look back at the place they were all headed to - the cabin that kept her safe for months which turned sad and hopeless now. She never expected something horrible like this will happen - the time someone would barge inside and trigger the set-up-trap. She despises whoever they are.

Just then, another place crossed her mind. A backup house in case things went wrong and she needs to get there right now.

"Where are my friends?" a sudden voice from behind halted her. It was a man's, raspy and questioning. With full force, she was dragged on her shoulder to face the blade of a knife and an aggressive-looking guy.

"Why are you alone? Answer me!" he asked, brows furrowing in both confusion and worry. Until a possible realization hit him and his intuition made him pin her against a tree, with the blade next to her neck. "What did you do to them?"

"Nothing," she uttered, firm and fearless, not cutting the hard stare with the guy. "Now, move that thing away from me."

"Too bad. I'm not stupid enough to do that." Seungcheol clenched his jaw as he glared at the girl who didn't seem like her anymore. She got a backpack with her and was obviously heading somewhere else, probably escaping and he wouldn't let that happen.
