Lilica P.O.V.

After they left, I went to my room. My room has pastel blue walls, grey carpet, and many posters that friends sent me through the mail. Like I have said before, I don't have any contact with the outside world other than those people that are kind enough to send me posters and keep me breathing. If I haven't hinted enough, I am a suicidal princess. My mom has never let outside people come near me. My mom always told me that if someone other than the royal family were to come near me, I could die. I have a rare illness. An illness that outsiders that haven't been around me since birth could possibly have too many unnatural germs that my body could malfunction and kill me on the spot. But then again, that is only what they told me. I never believed them. I just think that they don't want to share the world with me. That could just be me being naive though. My brother always told me that there were too many crazy people out there. Like his friends.

"Lilica? What are you doing?" My Maid, Barbara. Never leaves me alone.

"Nothing Barbie. I'm always doing nothing."

"What if I told you that there was a way for you to get out of this rotting castle and go outside and meet people?" I raise my eyebrows in confusion.

"Barbie, you know if I am caught my parents will kill me on the spot."

"They won't find out, they are out of town. They went to go meet with another kingdom."

"... OK. Let's do it." I hesitantly reply.

She begins to lead me to an underground tunnel passage way that goes
under the castle to the outside. She explained that the tunnels were there because a long time ago the castle was invaded and the guards dug tunnels to get the royal family out. The castle then got reinvaded by the royal family and was once again the royal castle.

We continued walking until we came to a huge door with the royal crest in the center. A mighty lion with roses surrounding him. My maid did some sort of secret knock and the door opened like magic. I've never seen a door open like that before. They always had to be opened manually. But this door opened on its own like someone invisible was opening it for us.

We walked out into a beautiful pasture with flowers in full bloom. Bright pastel colors ranging from red to purple. Horses were grazing grass near by the door. They looked up as we walked out of the tunnels.

"What is this place?" I questioned, barely able to breath.

"This is Ventria. The kingdom next door to Visoria. It is beautiful is it not?" Barbie questioned back staring at me with full amusement in her eyes.

  "Who goes there?!?"
A voice shouted from the distance. I could not tell from the voice at first but this person was someone that I had seen before. He was...
