Every now and then, there's Demi in his mind. In the last few days after that incident he had gone to the street where he bump into her, wishing that she was there.
Just his luck at Christmas Eve where everybody's spent the night with their family, they met again in a street near his flat. She was sitting alone on the bench under street lamp.
'Demi?' niall called her name, unsure. 'is that you?'
'hi, Blondie.' she said smiling.
'that's me.' Niall joined her, sitting beside her. 'what are you doing here?'
'enjoying Christmas Eve. You?'
'same. Where's your family?'
She shrugged her shoulder 'I don't know.'
'what'd you mean?' he looked at her confused.
'I don't have one, no family, no friends.'
'oh. I'm sorry.' niall feel bad for her, poor girl. 'me too. I can't go home, my flight was cancelled after snow storm. How about you help me decorate my Christmas tree? I still have one in my storage.'
'can I put the star on the top?'
'of course.' Niall help her to stand, then they walk hand in hand, her hand was so cold, it's unusual.
They spent the rest of the night decorate his place, put ornament here and there, laughing, get to know each other. When the sun about to shine she excuse herself and gone. That's makes him suspicious about her, something about her is... He can't really put a finger on it. But she's different, she's speciall.
'who's this Demi then?' Harry asked, looking at the handwriting on the pub table that he made. 'your new victim, is she?'
'Jesus! No, Harry! She is-'
'she is what? Your girlfriend?'
'no. She's the girl that I met a couple weeks ago, quite attractive,...'
'beautiful?' Harry cut niall's.
'very beautiful. Brown eyes, red hair. Extraordinary, but she's also different, and unpredictable when and where she's popped up, like now!'
He saw demi from the window pass the pub, wearing dark blue jeans, white loose t-shirt, and unbuttoned plaid. He run outside, try to catch her.
'demi..!' it was 9pm, and raining. 'demi???!'
'niall?'
'hey. It's me again.' he smile 'it's raining, wanna join us? And wait till the rain's over?' he pointed to the table where's he and Harry sitting.
'is that okay?'
'yeah, of course. He wouldn't mind.'
They get inside the pub, then he pulled the chair for her.
'thanks.' she said, smile politely to him.
Harry clear his throat, feel left behind. 'I'm still here.' he said, sarcasm.
'sorry. Demi, this is Harry, Harry this is Demi.'
Demi extend her hand to shake his. 'Demi.'
'Harold.' Harry winks playfully 'but call me Harry.'
Demi can't help but giggles. 'such a charmer.'
'this guy, right here..' he put his arm on niall shoulder and tapped it 'can't stop thinking and talking about you.'
'shut up Harry!'
'and he was right, you're very very beautiful. It's not his fault he can't stop thinking about you.'
Demi smile shyly, showing her dimples, her cheeks turn crimson red under her pale skins.
It's getting late, and Harry is the first one excuse himself to leave.
'well, it was nice to meet you, demi.'
'you too, Harry.' they hug each other, friendly hugs.
'you should come to our New Years eve party.' Harry invite her. 'mate, take her with you, okay!? See ya guys later.'
Harry left, and it's only demi and niall now.
'sorry about that, he can be a pain in the ass sometimes.'
Demi chuckled 'that's fine, he's funny, and nice just like you.'
'so, would you like to come to the party then?'
'sure.'
Niall walked Demi to her house where he found it's a bit strange. It's a big house, all white and black, no neighbor near her house.
'this is where I get off.' she smile sweetly to him. 'wanna come for a second?'
