Revenge

The Fire

I woke up to the screams of my family and as I jumped awake I felt the never ending flame I could've feinted I was so weak I stumbled to the door hoping I wasn't to late only to freeze the man we had been running from found us

"Reynold!" I yelled as he grabbed my younger sisters hand before laughing at me

"Valadoria nice to see your finally awake" he said putting his knife to my sisters throat I could feel tears stream down my face

"Reynold please its me you want not them let her go!" I yelled hoping he'd take me instead only for him to cut my sisters throat and stab her over and over again her white hair was stained with blood and I fell to my knees begging him to stop "Reynold please!"

"Don't worry you'll live to let the world know I brought you to your knees" he said to me and I couldn't hold myself up any longer I collapsed and everything went black

When I came to I was in the house of a healer I jumped when I felt my mothers cold hands touch my arm and as I turned to look at her I could feel her grasp on me tighten and then I could see the tears falling from her eyes as she spoke

"You will not leave the palace walls you will stay inside you will no longer train in the art of magic and you will not go after Reynold" I gaped at her she couldn't be serious my sister is dead because of him and she wants to keep me in doors

"Mother I don't need prote-"

"Shut up and listen you are staying in doors and that is final!" She yelled before leaving the room

I stared after her before getting off of the bed "Sorry but there's no way in hell I'm letting him live after what he did" I said and the healer grabbed my arm

"You could've died in that fire do not risk your death for your sister she wouldn't want it this way"

I glared at him and before he could say another word I froze him in place "Don't lecture me about what she would want" I said coldly before walking away hearing his muffled cries as I grabbed my armour and weapons "Reynold look out I'm coming for you" I said into the endless night of the city it was time for my revenge to begin
