Tyler's POV:
"Hey Ma, yeah, school is going pretty good so far," I smiled, my mom was such a sweetheart. Too bad she got stuck with an asshole who abused her; She never deserved that pain...
Anyways, I said goodbye and hung up the call. It was second block of my first day at my new school. Things were going pretty great in my opinion, I mean right when I got to the school I was walking in and a beautiful girl bumped into me and fell on top of me after she knocked me to the ground. The only thing I could think when I looked up at this girl was, Holy shit, she's gorgeous.
She had brown eyes, with a hint of green, and dark brown hair. Her hair was tied back in a messy bun, with strands falling loosely around her face. She looked startled and out of breath, but still perfect. Her cheeks were flushed, but she looked absolutely adorable.
I realized I had been staring the whole time when she finally knelt up and got off of me. I sprung to my feet half because the adrenaline still pumping through my veins from the fall and half because I wanted to hold her hand and help her up. Once I was to my feet, I noticed that she was still kneeling down, not even standing yet. Perfect. I reached out my hand to help her up. She hesitated for a second before taking my hand and allowing me to help her to her feet. She said thank you and paused before telling me her name.. Eliza.
We both just stood there for a moment. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. She wore a black jacket over a DC shirt with blue jeans and black combat shoes. She wasn't dressed up or anything, but to me, she looked absolutely break-taking. It couldn't have been more than 30 seconds when she looked at the ground and hastily said she had to get to class. Before I knew it, she was lost in the crowd of people standing around before the warning bell went off for the start of first period. Eliza, I repeated over in my head. What a name... what a girl.

Last block I made Eliza promise, well more like I forced her to agree to meet me at 3 o'clock after school. It might have been a bit pushy, but man, if you saw this girl you'd understand. I just hope that she shows...
Anyways, it was a minute before second block is supposed to begin but I couldn't find my class. This school was so hard to navigate: three floors of classrooms and students, joy.
I was supposed to be going to E7, but the doors around me were all labeled "B-."How does anyone find there way around this place?? I was about to just call it a day and walk out of the school when I saw Eliza scurrying down the hall--
"Hey! Eliza!"
When I called her name she didn't look up, her eyes were focused on the ground ahead of her. So as she passed by I lightly grabbed her arm to get her attention. She jumped back and looked confused and scared until she saw it was me... then her expression changed to annoyance and she rolled her eyes again. She does that a lot.. and damn, it's kind of hot...
"What do you want now?"
"Uhm.. uh.. class. yeah, I have no idea how to get to my class... How do you people navigate this school?!"
She smirked, "Practice. Lemme see your schedule, I suppose I can point you in the right direction." I handed her the sheet of paper and she looked up at me like I had just said my grandma had three heads.
"Wh-what is it?"
"Dude, you are supposed to be on the third floor right now.." Shit. I feel like a complete idiot.. and it didn't help that she was looking at me like I was one.."Lucky for you, I'm headed to the third floor.. even the same class actually; I guess I can take you there with me."
"T-thanks.." Jeez man, keep your cool, you even sound like an idiot now.
Catching up to her as she briskly walked ahead I say, "Hey, if you don't mind me asking, why are you on the first floor if you're supposed to be on the third floor as well?" I scratch the back of my neck trying to seem casual.
She looks slightly annoyed by my question, but answered regardless, "I was going to guidance but the person I wanted to see wasn't available.. per usual." Her voice drifted at the end of her sentence, almost coming out as a whisper. Damn..Her voice gives me butterflies.. wait, what am I thinking I barely know her.. besides she's way out of my league anyways, and she probably has a boyfriend... I really need to keep myself in check. I shake my head at myself not realizing that she stopped in front of me and was waving her hand in my face to try to get my attention.
"Helloooooo? Are you still in there kid? We are here." How- we are here already? Dammit, I got lost in thought again.. I could've made conversation or something but I let my dumb thoughts distract me again.
She opens the door and says, "After you Madame," and with an eye roll and a slight smirk, I walk into the classroom to find everyone staring right at me. She walks up behind me and on her tiptoes whispers in my ear, "That's why I had you come in first.. not that anyone would've noticed me anyways after they saw you.." Her breath against my ear sent shivers down my spine... I think she said the last part more to herself but I didn't have a chance to comment or respond before the teacher interrupted:
"How nice of you to show up Mr. Daniels. Class, this is Tyler Daniels, yes, he is new, but we will not make a big fuss because we have work to do. Take a seat wherever and begin copying down the notes." And with that he went back to teaching class, ouch, something pinched my back but I wasn't quite sure until I turned around to see Eliza smirking, "Come on, Mr. Daniels, it's time to get to work." The way my name rolled off her tongue and her breath on my neck made me forget how to walk for a second until she gave me a little nudge forward.
I followed her to the back of the class and sat next to her. I got out my notebook and began to write down what was written on the board... man, this would be a long few months.

Eliza's POV:
I could feel the stares from my classmates piercing through me. Obviously, it wasn't because of me, but because of who I was sitting next to. Why did he sit next to me anyway? What was he thinking?
I was writing down the notes on the board when someone nudged my right elbow causing me to scribble on the page. I look next to me and there Tyler sits with a devilish smirk on his face. Oh lord, I'd be so much more pissed if that smile wasn't so breathtaking.. goddammit.
"Was that necessary?" I hiss.
"Yes, very," He whispers back.
"You're making people stare, knock it off!"
"I think it's because of you not me." He says with a wink.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I said in a aggravated tone.
"You really don't know.. do you?" He said as his tone softened. He looked down for a moment and I saw him go back into his head, but before I knew it he was looking back at me with that crazy, handsome, smile.
"Do you really want to know why?" He smirks.
"Um.. Yes. Yes I do," Even if I end up regretting it.
"It's because you got some lettuce in your teeth sweetheart,"
