An Everlasting Love [Broppy]

The Chosen Song

It was now Thursday and Branch had agreed to helping Poppy pick out her song. He was wearing his normal clothes nothing much, he walked out his door and started walking over to Poppy's pod witch was conveniently next to his. He knocked on her door waiting before she finally opened it and welcomed him in.

"So what songs do you have in mind?" He asked

"Well, I was thinking about some mellow songs, like True Colors, I liked singing things like that instead of happy stuff. Ya know?" She sped through her sentences like she only had 5 minutes to pick a song.

"Poppy calm down! I know what you mean, now let's look through some of the songs you chose" he softly stated.

"Oh right" she grabbed her notebook and flipped to a page that had 5 songs on it. "These were the songs I really like" The list read these songs.
"One Thousand Years"
"Faded"
"Shatter Me"
"Secret Love Song"
"Scars to your Beautiful"
Branch read the list carefully thinking about witch song would fit with her beautiful voice. He quickly looked at her noticing her sweet and tender eyes meet with his. They shared a stare before Branch looked back down at the paper and began to speak.

"How about Secret Love Song? Do you know all the lyrics" he questioned
"Um....yeah, I actually quite like that song" she closed her eyes and stared softly.
"Okay great, will Dj do the music?" He asked making sure was perfect for her
"Yup! I'll let her know, thank you Branch!" She gave him a light hug and stood up "Want to help decorate a little more for the party?" She asked

"Sure" He said
He stood up and followed her down into the streets of Burgin Town where there were huge chairs, small chairs and one raised platform with stairs leading up to it for the Trolls who are preforming. All around it all were huge banners and streamers hanging down in different vitiates of colors.
"Are you sure you guys need help? This place looks amazing!" He stated
She laughed at his comment "Yeah, I need your help making the platform stand out more" she said
"Okay" he followed her up to the top of the platform and began helping her decorate it in bright colors with neon lights.

After 2 hours of fixing up the place they were finally finished.
"Well I'm gonna go home and take a shower, I'll see you tomorrow at the party!" Poppy cheerfully stated

"Yeah me too, oh by the way what do we wear to the party?"  He asked
"Oh shoot I forgot to put it on your invitation! Just wear something nice like you would wear to like a fancy dance since it's the anniversary, everybody will be dressed nice" she commented trying to be as detailed as possible.
He chuckled "Alright, I'll find something formal" he smiled and waved at Poppy as they both began to walk back to their pods, walking different ways even though they live next to each other.

Poppy got back to her pod and walked in trying to cool off as she walks in her bathroom and disrobes, she jumped in the shower. As for Branch he was looking through his closet when he found a dark blue suit with a white collar.
"Perfect" he said to himself. He grabbed it and set it down on his bed noticing the invitation Poppy gave him on Tuesday. He picked it up and looked at it with sorrow. He sighed and looked over at the picture of Poppy and The Snack Pack "Goodnight Poppy" he smiled and put down the invitation getting ready for bed.

Poppy got out and put on her Pjs, laying down comfortably in her bed as she turned over and looked at the picture with all her friends in it. She looked at the middle picture witch was her and Branch taking a selfie together. She smiled at the pictures. "Goodnight Branch" she softy said before falling asleep.
